I Think I Need A New Thrust Bearing

Gearbox is a bit noisy, but every time i sdepress the clutch, it goes quiet.

Anyone know the price for a new thrust bearing (inclusive of labour) and where to get it done and from?

thrust bearing isnt that expensive $60-$100, i cant remember just plucking numbers. I'd say labour is the same as doing your clutch so 250-350 cause your dropping the box out. so its a waste of money i say if your just replacing the bearing unless you got heaps of money to waste...ha. people usually do the bearing and spigot bush when they upgrade their clutch

I went for a good 2+yrs before I replaced it only cause my clutch died.

Yea you should wait until you have to change your clutch because it a huge waste of money to just change that bearing.

If your gearbox is noisy then it could be your gearbox????

yea i got same problem i be taken your guys advice, i thought it was a big deal. so it aint that important enough to get it changed?

If you press the clutch and it goes quiet, its the spigot bearing not the thrust

Its about $8 for another one and you need a slide hammer to remove it

If you buy a clutch kit such as an Exedy clutch kit, they generally tend to come with brand new NSK thrust bearings so no point buying one separately to replace, just do it all at once when you do a clutch install
