Went to see these badboys over the weekend just gone and it was well worth the money!

The cars in the flesh are nuts and the sound of the R35 GT cars at full throttle is soooo sex! even tho they use the V8.

The NSX's are another thing all together.....the 3.2L V6 screams like a banshee!!

Cusco WRX and the RE-Amemiya FD also gave the eardrums a good old thrashing.

For those of you use to the V8 supercars here, the GT cars just blew me away!!

As for the circuit, we dont have anything in aus that comes close!

If anyone gets the chance to go to sepang i thoroughly endorse it, the track and facilities are amazing....

anyways heres a few happy snaps to share with you lot......

farkk...those cars a bombed..

how was malaysia?..any good car performance shops or alot jap cars on the streets?

I didnt see many around KL but there were heaps in the carpark at sepang, even a handful of farrari's (custom paint and bling)

they have their own local D1 comp which i didnt know, had full dori spec S15 and hatchi on display (got a few pics)

also had 3 hard tuned R34's on display (one with GT bodykit and full matte black paint) and a couple of R33's...........all GTR's mind you

and a few EVO's, supra's, R32 Golfs and Lotus's all road going but pretty heavily modded, few caged, semi slicks etc.....

could find any tuning shops, but i was mostly in the central KL area..... most car/bike shops are located on the fringes.

with KL, like japan, you gotta go into the county side to find all the tuning shops. Sepang's nuts, and the GT brings out all the Waja warriors on the roads. Mind you there's a healthy sprinkling of ceffies, s13's and toyotas in the mix, not to mention the guys who make the yearly pilgrimage from Singapore (these guys usually bring the expensive cars) and Thailand (the 1JZ crazy country).

haha yer a whole lota waja/wira "evo" lookalikes!

and the hwy's there are also killa...... oh to have had my 32 with me!

will def do it again next year.

well proton was mitsubishi once so they all run mitsubishi gear. Some even have evo transplants in them, so dont be surprised when the take off.....but majority are still shitters!

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
