i tried searching but cant find what im looking for

im buying the apexi ax5370-p25 turbo kit that is advertised on here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ap...-S-t226760.html

it comes with all the lines etc i believe.

its going to replace a rb25 turbo on my r32 rb20.

if i decide to do the install myself its all got to go smoothly & be a 1 weekend job, so im looking to get some info on the oil & water lines before i start.

where does the oil feed line from the top of the turbo go to on the block? is it easy to get to?

i think i can see 1 water line go from the turbo to around the back of the head, looks to be a bit tight in there for room..

where does the other water line connect to from the turbo? is that one easy to get to?

thanks

did mine in 5 hours! same turbo same car..

back of the block water line is a mungrel to get too...

u need a spacer for the manifold! to puch the lager compresser out abit. prob 5mm..

need a custom heat shield!

other than that was a fair easy job!

thanks for your reply, yeah i saw yur thread looking for similar help.

a spacer, yeah i just noticed my rb35 turb is just touching the stock mani heat sheild, so i was wondering about that..

did yours come with the apxi lines? if so does it connect to that water line at the back of the head?

what about the other lines are they easy?

hey yeh i didnt get to the back one.. just connected to the existing one that goes there then heat wraped it.. yeh i got the full kit..

the others are easy just abit fiddly! but iff u pull everything off and drop the dump u should be fine!

nope i had to chase one down!!

and i got an 8mm first and studs were too short found 5mm was better! had to grind a very small amount of the comp cover were the apexi logo is to fit it! im talkn likr 3-4 mm! so not alot! u will c when u line it up!

thanks, like i say i want to do this job first time in one weekend, so thats great info.

im getting everything the seller used to install in his 32 so it should come with a spacer etc, but i will check now.

cheers

hi Adrian

hi just found this pic of yur turbo, i can see where you have ground down the comp cover a bit for clearance, but i cant really see the spacer?

is it in that pic? cause the studs look like they are poking thru the flange/nuts, as much as my rb25 turbo?

cheers

haha yeh there is a 5mm spacer.. had to c! but was just enough to push it out so i didnt have to grind too much away!

its more the fact of clearing the comp cover than were the manifold joins!

yeah i understand what the spacer is for, but in that pic i can see the turbine t3 flange, gasket & what looks like the exhaust manifold flange - or is the 2nd gasket & 5mm spacer there?

also the studs have about the same amount of thread showing as my stock setup (suggesting no 5mm spacer?)

cheers

4k sounds about right from me guestimating from other charts ive seen that read road speed not revs (around 100kmp/h in 4th gear)

tbh 280hp atw at 17psi sounds a bit low to me, but could be the dyno or other factors?

im making 250 now & im hoping for 50+hp more not just 30?

are you running a cat & what dump is it?

cheers
