Is My Tv Dead.

I have a Phillips rear projection TV that has all its colours gone wonky.

Anyone else had the same problem and or can recommend a repair person.

Has the TV been moved-transported recently?

Tried to de-gauss if it has that function?

Last time I moved my plasma I had what looked like the same thing...turned it off for 24hrs and it was as good as new.

If you still have the manual It would most probably say to let it stand for x amount of time after transit before use.

Although rear projections not having a vacuum type tube-screen it could be a different story re: de-gaussing ect.

Of course all that would be totally useless unless you've moved it..

No worries thanks everyone. I will give some numbers a call.

My TV has had a couple of moves but not for a year.

Looks like the convergance has gone out of whack. In particular the red. There is a manual option to re-align it but it wont move.

i had a similar issue with my samsung rear projection. had to change a slot-in pcb that controls all that crap. was about $300 to repair all up.

hey i was also moving and we had our rear projection tv in the trailer and smashed the screen would your brother in law be able to fix that or does anyone know who can? thanks
