picked up my copy last night. Love it.

Anyone who didnt like oblivion is likely to not like this. If you didnt like oblivion more then likely your not capable of playing in depth games like these.

Something like mario would probably be on your level.

Lol @ oblivion being in depth... it's like.. a 3d runescape.. with randomly generated quests, monsters that level with u and the most repetitive boring story line i've seen.. but i see what you mean, so in depth to run up to stuff and hit it with sticks and magical powers.. maybe i will stick to mario, at least they've got invincibility stars and more intelligent AI..

If your wondering which version to get

If your a pc gamer then obviously get it on pc. Console owners with both systems, get on xbox 360 there is a lot of noticable graphic problems on the ps3 version and ps3 dont have trophy's.

Lol @ Lol at oblivion being in depth...

Say what you want doesnt matter your entiltled to your own opnion and i wont hold you against it. However 99.9% of the gaming industry will disagree with you.

Now back on topic about fallout 3.

Anyone blow up megaton?

Edited by Pattygtst

I have the biggest shits right now with Fallout 3.

I picked up my copy and installed it....and then no matter what I did, it wouldn't run. I tried all the possible solutions, including the official patch, ini file mod, etc etc

last resort............grab my other HD and shove it in the computer, do a fresh install of Vista without all the other crap and see if it runns...........if it doesn't, I'm gonna trade it in for a PS3 copy

I didn't like Oblivion but I'm enjoying Fallout 3 so far, where does that put me :P

Also Laser Minigun + Fatman nuke launcher owns most things

I'm upto the last mission in the main quest so im bumming around and trying to finish as many side quests as possible

also character animations suck :\

Why is the PS3 version shit? Its f***ing fantastic! On a HD Sony 52" TV it looks unreal!

Such an awesome game, trying to take my time with it enjoying all the little things in it haha. Love sneaking up to a raider with a sniper rifle and watching the bullet in slow motion blow his head off :)

ending was a bit craptacular, still like fallout 2 better just because of the humour and pop culture references throughout the game

Still, well worth the wait

Xbox version ran fine, except for one time when everyone's hair went crazy stretched across the entire screen. Hilarious

hasn't come back since though thank god

Got a fallout 3 today for PC.

Having random freezes everywhere after the 1st bit when you leave 101.

This is like oblivion all over again, which needed like 6 month later with patches after patches & after patches to bring the game up to "playable" standards without crashing like every 2 seconds.

While I'm waiting for that to happen, I'll just play RA3 & Dead space in the mean time.

Picked this up yesterday on the PS3. Seems to be a tops game (and great on the PS3 so far too). I've only just sratched the surface of the game and already I'm thinking about how I'd do things differently a second time around which to me speaks volumes for the games durability.

But initial impressions are great so I hope it stays that way.

Mine freezes at jefferson memorial. Anywhere else is fine but i have to go there for the main mission and i am only 5-6 hours in

Nothing i can do. I changed discs only to experience the same thing with the replacement. This game has some killer bugs.

Waiting for a patch.

Sux such a good game to. I am losing interest because of this.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
