OK folks, slang terms for genitalia of any genter are out!

getting back to the subject, bloody defects for bloody shit.

MADGT4, I would definately be checking to see if coppers get their ears calibrated before they go on patrol, just to make certain they can tell the differnence between a car at 89dB and 90dB. Without testing, how in gods name can they fine you for it. Be a bit like saying " I knew you were speeding, cos you have done it before, so have a fine" Man its just bull shit.

HAHA yeah have u been......

Yeah good point tho steve but its been decided that i'm sellin up already and i only owned it for about 5-6months so anyone wanna buy contact me.......

But don't panic ppl still gonna own a nissan and still gonna be turbo, but this thing will be alot less "come defect me" as far as this town goes and i won't be mixed up with me mates 33 that get around doin stupid shit (prob his fault cos his drifts all ova the place)

You talkin to me man or wot? About gettin the defect off?

And plus i'm gonna probably get what i was originally gonna get which is a GTi-R and the cops down here will just think its a hatch back with a zorst so i won't get any trouble.......

I know it sucks but this is like the second time i been done in like 3 months and i was also just told if it happens again then its a (spelling) Statutory Write Off or some shit and i dunno if its true or not so i don't wanna b stuck with no car and shit if u know wot i mean

My mate jase sold his 180 cos he was forever being defected only to buy a relatively crap 280z and got defected again within f**k all time of owning it.

Statutory write off? Err wtf? how can they do that when you're car is deemed road werthy when it goes through Reemgency?

Sorry MADGT4, i was talkin to Hippy before, but what i was gonna say to him may help u.

When my car got defected, i found a place that "hires" out parts for a few days. I hired a stock BOV airfilter exhaust wheels for 150 and went to regency. No more defect.

Best 150 ive ever spent hehe. **** those regency wankers and the dickheads that issue defects.

Ok but at the end of the day, we get defected, they're doing their job.. and as are the guys at regency. We all have 2 make livings, some worse then others, and a cop does what he or she does, or they get the sack basically, like all of us at work.

and yea we all know there's good cops and bad cops, but there's nothing we can do about it, havin wankers is part of life.

Even thou it's against what we think, as a group we should accept that this is gonna keep happening, because we dont make the rules that say what we are and aren't allowed to do.

We take the risk when we modify our cars, but bitch about it when we get done? Whats the go there?? We modify our cars, knowing that the more work we do to our rides, the bigger targets we become, yet we keep modifying them, keep getting defected, and keep complaining? go figure

Im not havin a go at anyone for what they think about regency, or cops, cos i think the same as everyone else here.

I know that when i go out i'm more likely to be targetted for having the car i have and doing the things i do then most of the other drivers on the road, but, thats hte choice I made, when i bought my car, and did the mods i have done, so I have 2 live with it.

As much as we hate being defected (and no offence to MADGT4 what so ever here mate) I think we need to realise that it's not gonna end, and we have 2 stop bitchn about it.

well sometimes i hate reading things like "not cops are all bad" and the ... "well thats a good cop story" ... when u haven't done anything wrong and they stopped u ... i mean if they were a good cop who geniunely was interested in doing good cop stuff ... good cops will know the laws they are enforcing ... not bring up some bs about ... i think its too loud so i will defect u .. or ... just a routine check to check that your car is safe ... i mean we have lives too and time costs money for some people ... why should we waste our time on that crap ... if u were doing something wrong like road racing then sure stop the driver and get them for whatever... but not an innocent car enthusiast like madgt4 ... seems like nice guy ;) *wink* *wink* :D

    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
