Hi Guys,

I sensed that my car started to feel slower (I had 273 rwkw), then I took it back to where I tuned it and it only pulled out 230 rwkw, so something was definately wrong!

The tuner/mechanic thought it might have been a blocked cat, but that wasn't the problem.

He then told me he was 99% sure it was the cam actuator?

I am not very knowledgable in cars so I had no idea what he was on about.

He told me that everything was still correct with the tune (same AFR and boost timing etc)

So he told me that getting after market adjustable cams would fix this.

I just wanted to confirm with you guys before I go ahead and spend like $2000 for him to install cams and it doesnt fix my problem

WHat do you guys think have any of you had this problem??

Cheers.

I think what he means is, The actuator for the NVCS is stuck on (for lack of a better word) Low RPM (it switches at 4700rpm i believe) and is restricting the top end....do you have a dyno chart of before and a new one with the loss of power...if its the NVCS the power graph should be the same up untill 4700 if the power loss is above that, than I would say its the NVCS Solenoid / Actuator....if Its lost power Everywhere than its not the problem.

Cheers

Andrew
