Heya all guys,

Just wanted to post my results of my latest dyno run and tune. Since last time, i had all sorts of problems with my car. Manifold studds snapping, exhaust leaks, vacumn probs, etc etc. So i decided to take my car off the road and do it right once and for all.

Car was pretty much given and top to bottom major service using all genuine nissan stuff, nothing beats OEM !

- Timing belt including bearings etc

- All new accessory belts ( pwr steer, aircon, etc.. )

- New waterpump

- New rocker cover seals ( Woot woot, no more leaks ! )

- New Turbo manifold gasket

- New Turbo flange gasket

- New Dump pipe gasket

- All manifold studds drilled out and replace

- Pwr steer flush / Brake fluid flush / engine flush

- Injectors cleaned

- Apexi Power intake pod

- And your usual serivice items with motul oils and royal purple gearbox oils

Car is nowww super dooper silky smooth, boost hard and holds all way to redline. Made such a difference that my old SAFC tune was way out causing the car to knock and what not.. So had to get my car re-tuned. I heard good things bout VONNY from DYNO TUNZ in brisbane browns plains. So i got him to do his magic. And im very please with the results

With only 10psi it made 183kw@ wheels, with that peak beginning around 5000rpm !!! Also this last figure was after like 20 or so runson the dyno so prob after a good cool down be around the 190kw @wheels mark. Car feels awesome... Compare to my last tune with peak power only being avaliable from 6300-7000rpm. I gained MORE power every , from top to bottom over my last tune.

Its my daily so 10psi will just have to do now, until i get bored again. Please leave your feedback guys and tell me what you guys think.

R33 GTSt Series 1.5

- Stock Turbo

- Greddy Intercooler kit

- Full exhaust inc hi flow 3" cat and dump

- Walbro Fuel pump

- Turbosmart Boost controller @10psi

- Apexi SAFC2

- Apexi Power intake pod

Note: Bottom line is with STOCK boost and STOCK tune

awesome power dude considering the mods.. I have very similar issues need to get my turbo maniifold studs redrilled also. my car minus intercooler is now making 176rwkw. keep up the good work

Is that with Piggy back or ECU ? I see alot of ppl with high power figures.. but i guess each dyno is different, really end of the day how it drives on the road. My car prob make 200rwkw on a happy dyno... and plenty them around.. ITs hard these dayz who you can trust or not. At end of day, a dyno is use to measure gains and diagnostic and tuning. Power figures are just figures.

Thanks for the comments buddy, looks like your on the right track as well.

No worries God...

Yeh im not too concern bout power figures, its how it performs on the street thats the main thing. Next mod Splitfire Coils. And maybe i can run a lil more boost. We tried 12psi on the tune but the car just misfire like a unhealthy smoker... But atm im quite happy with the Street tune its got. Power everywhere in Rev range and every gear.

Would love something like a GTRS or 2530.. but not everyone got the $$$$$$$$

    • How do you propose I cable tie this: To something securely? Is it really just a case of finding a couple of holes and ziptying it there so it never goes flying or starts dangling around, more or less? Then run a 1/8 BSP Female to [hose adapter of choice?/AN?] and then the opposing fitting at the bush-into-oil-block end? being the hose-into-realistically likely a 1/8 BSP male) Is this going to provide any real benefit over using a stainless/steel 1/4 to 1/8 BSP reducing bush?
    • I fashioned a ramp out of a couple of pieces of 140x35 lumber, to get the bumper up slightly, and then one of these is what I use
    • I wouldn't worry about dissimilar metal corrosion, should you just buy/make a steel replacement. There will be thread tape and sealant compound between the metals. The few little spots where they touch each other will be deep inside the joint, unable to get wet. And the alloy block is much much larger than a small steel fitting, so there is plenty of "sacrificial" capacity there. Any bush you put in there will be dissimilar anyway. Either steel or brass. Maybe stainless. All of them are different to the other parts in the chain. But what I said above still applies.
    • You are all good then, I didn't realise the port was in a part you can (have!) remove. Just pull the broken part out, clean it and the threads should be fine. Yes, the whole point about remote mounting is it takes almost all of the vibration out via the flexible hose. You just need a convenient chassis point and a cable tie or 3.
    • ..this is the current state of that port. I appreciate the info help (and the link to the Earls thing @Duncan). Though going by that it seems like 1/4 then BSP'ing it and using a bush may work. I don't know where I'd be remote mounting the pressure sender... to... exactly. I assume the idea here is that any vibration is taken up by the semiflexible/flexible hose itself instead of it leveraging against the block directly. I want to believe a stronger, steel bush/adapter would work, but I don't know if that is engineeringly sound or just wishful thinking given the stupendous implications of a leak/failure in this spot. What are the real world risks of dissimilar metals here? It's a 6061 Aluminum block, and I'm talking brass or steel or SS adapters/things.
