Beginner's Training Day And Drift Introduction - Tues 9th September

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

We have been asked... so we are answering the call! Finally... a beginner's training day that is open to complete beginner's for their first on track experience, through to slightly experienced/been to archy a few times. We are organising a drift day that will have a maximum of 14 drivers which will be split into two seperate groups... preferably level 1 and level 2 going by experience. All drivers will have a walk around the track to learn the corners and certain points that they should be made aware of. We will have 7 cars on track at one time with an instructor in each car for the duration of their laps giving advice, car setup pointers if need be and also just a bit of friendly advice and shed their experience with you. Two donut spots will also be set up for a certain amount of time to learn throttle control... this is great fun and really does help with controlling the revs. The instructors will also be bringing their own cars out on track and you are able to jump in with them to see what they do (eg. when they use handbrake, clutch kick, entries and exits to the turns, etc.) As every instructor will be taking care of only two drivers throughout the day, they will be able to monitor your progress and note areas that need improving.

It will be held on Tuesday 9th September from 5-8.30pm. It is now booked in so we are now able to start taking pre-entries. First 14 payments received will have guaranteed positions on the night.

Cost will be $100 per driver and will only be allowed to bring 2 pit crew/spectators with them as this is a beginner's day... we aren't trying to have a huge crowd.

This will be a great day that shouldn't be missed by anyone that is wanting to get into drifting with a head start above the rest. You can pre-enter on the Option1Garage website HERE

Any questions... fire away!

Thanks,

Em

This sounds great. But im a bit low on cash to be drifting my car.

Will there be another one?

Hey,

We will be more than likely but for the time being, we have only planned this one. Will post up any details of future events as they become available.

Thanks,

Emma.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
