getting done while being on a good behaviour bond doesnt really go down well with the courts or the cops

i know that a momentary lapse in concentration can cause you to get slightly over the speed

but yeah i think your chances of getting off is pretty slim mate

its sounds harsh but its true

definately get a lawyer as they know of the loop holes and etc

i know a dude who got done drink driving while on good behaviour

appealed and got a lawyer and he only had 9 more months added to his suspension and $1500

yeah well it works for me been pulled over a few times i use my friends details, and got away with it everytime..

Seriously, I don't know what's more stupid - you trying what you did with the cops, or coming on a public forum and bragging about it.

Cop it sweet buddy! I wanted to do the time, hoping it'll teach me a lesson (altho i doubt it  ) but then again i was cought by red light speed cameras, thats easy to avoid!

As said earlier, do the crime do the time! I'd be asking around for sumwhere to stay closer to work for 6 months.

so how's that not bragging when you've already mentioned it twice on this thread.

Kietz, flaming you is clearly a waste of time.........maybe an oxy torch is the go

But Kietz cant use an oxy torch.... hes an oxymoron...

-D

because your saying it cant be done, when clearly its possible.. ahaha flame all you want but its the truth people do it all the time maybe not the people in your age group but younger driver these days are always doing it, and i know its not good but hey, who wants to catch the bus..

im no angel,

but i do try to avoid being a dick,

my licence is my job! i loose my licence, i loose my job, my house, my car

every thing i have....is it worth that 20 seconds of fun? no.

but if you do it, and get cought, own up to it, dont pass the blame onto an innocent party.

my $0.02c

You wont get caught because for you it is 20 seconds :bunny: , for me i take life a quarter mile at a time, and for those 10 second or less, im free. LOL

PS anyone seen the prerview for the "Fast and Furious" movie? - it looks a lot like a remake of the first.

My licence is my outlet. At the end of the working week, I enjoy nothing more than going for a ride or car cruise with mates.

I like to misbehave from time to time, but I pick where and when to do it ... mostly on the race circuit. After 19 years, I've only ever received a handful of speeding fines (all under 15kph above limit). Never done DUI and never lost my licence.

ive lost my l's before for riding a motorbike that had a liscence plate made out of an ice cream container lid and was dont in black marker pen, also went from big letter to small(as the pen ran out of ink), no blinkers and the ass end fell of down the track. had no l's displayed and no l's on me.

MAN DID I LEARN MY LESSON. now im back on my p2s and am working 5 days + a week and cant avoid loosing it. and ive never told the copper a false name for my liscence only when i got in trouble for other stuff when i was heaps younger

usless story ftw.

cheers... michael

    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
    • Those comp test results are not hideous. Whether they are accurate or not (ie, when that comp tester says 140 psi, is the real pressure120, 140 or 160?) is unknown to us. The state of the battery used to crank it over is unknown, etc etc. Many people around here would say that the absolute values and the spread are perfectly fine to just add boost and keep going. I personally would be happier with a narrower spread than that, but even the diff between 125 and 145 is not terrible. That one cylinder at 125 though, has probably copped some damage relative to the others. You should inspect the valves seeing as you've got it open. Do you know how to measure installed ring gaps? That, and an inspection of the rings themselves, is how you will determine whether they need to be replaced. If you're not good to do these things, take the block and the pistons and rings to a shop that is, and ask them for the go/no-go on them. Do the bores need a hone at all? If so, you might well be justified in getting some different pistons in order to get away from the ring supply problem. Whether you're happy to spend a lot more money right now, on more gear, rather than less money, but an amount that looks stupid given that you will only get a handful of rings in exchange for that money, is for you to decide.
    • also possibly backed up to my filler and shat down it! 🤣
    • Ok so i would love some advice here please, i purchased an R33 a few months back and its had a few mods done to the engine, its an RB25det running a Master ECU, 1200cc injectors, bigger turbo, oil cooler, oil filter relocation kit, Spool H-beam rods, acl/ross pistons. When i removed the motor from the vehicle (as its getting a respray) i thought i would compression test it and these are the following results. Cylinder 1-145psi, Cylinder 2-143psi, Cylinder 3-125psi, Cylinder 4-145psi, Cylinder 5-140psi, Cylinder 6-135psi this test was done with the motor on the ground and powering up the starter motor. I dropped the sump and found broken oil squirters on cylinder 3,5 and 6. I was told my rings are probably worn so i stripped the motor completely to get a new set of rings for it. The trouble is no one has these rings anywhere and they have to be custom made by Ross over in the states and will cost about $600+$200 delivery. My question is how can i tell if my rings are at fault and if they are still ok and is this price ok for a set of rings?
