Comments / Modifications:

I bought this car from another SAU member in December last year - intending to hold for a few years and mod away. I've been informed by the girlfriend that we need a cheaper to run car with 4 doors, and am saving for a house deposit, so all too soon the skyline has to go.

Car has:

- Heavy Duty Clutch

- 3" Custom Turbo Back

- New Sony stereo (fronts, rears, head unit)

- Front Mounted Intercooler

And that is all the mods! Has never been boosted hard, and I drive like an old woman so you're getting a lovingly looked after car in great condition.

A great place to start modding from, or a really nice and powerful cruiser. Happy to answer any questions, provide the car for any inspections etc.

Images: coming soon..

Is this what is called the Type-M version.

Sorry for the newbie question. Toyota man here, slowly trying to learn about nissans as I want a r33 skyline.

This is exactly what I will be looking for when I do get one. Very mild mods, standard wheels blah blah blah.

I'm fairly certain the R33 doesn't have a "Type M" - the R32 GTST is also known as the "Type M", but for the R33 GTST and R34 GTT they dropped any mention of the "Type M" (but just to confuse things, the R34 GTR has the "M-spec"). Some people refer to any GTST as "Type M", but the only model to leave the factory as a "Type M" is the R32 GTST.

But I'm not 100% on that. :P

Forgot to add - it has an ADR approved alarm/immobiliser fitted, with remote central locking.

Aircon was regassed in January.

Sale will include a "bucket of stuff", including pod filter / second aircon head unit / new, still in box brake pads / oil / etc. All good maintenance gear that I have hanging around (and no use for, without a skyline).

I would have bought this straight away if you lived in WA aye.

I would have offered you 9.5K cash done deal.

You will have no problems selling it and for the person who buys it they are really lucky.

Just wondering though...

It does have seats right?

Cos on your carsales ad it says 2 door 0 seat COUPE

Might wanna fix that.

Good luck selling :)

I will be jealous for the person who will own it.

You should just move to Victoria - problem solved for both of us!

The options for Skylines on carsales.com.au appears to be 2 door 0 seats 5sp Manual or 2 door 2 seats 4 sp Auto.

It's stupid but I can't work out how to fix it up.

Cheers.

    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
