Hey Aaron, you drive a lot through there, what the fork is happening????

A bloody idiot caravan escaped from a B double when he pulled out from the muster turnoff, Monday I think. (B-double wasn't quite so lucky)

Yesterday there were more fatalities involving 2-semis and a car.

Then on Tuesday I got stuck in a massive traffic jam South of Federal while the CES cleaned up from yet another crash.

One thing I did notice when driving through there on Wednesday was the 33 felt like it had a flat tyre. Stopped at Matilda to check and all good, it just felt wrong.

Any thoughts about the road surface???

Grigor,

Mate, your right, I go through there LOTS! Mostly I think there is a number of small things that add up. Usually people come unstuck due to a lack of concentration. But why in that area? I dunno..

I see it like this:

1: the road surface, even though it has been relayed a few times.. it does 'feel' odd.

2: its a wide flat road that gets a lot of dew and rain tends to just 'sit' on the road. So grime and oil does not get washed away.

3: driver fatigue, lots of people drive from Brizzy to Gympie in a hit, sadly lots dont make it.

4: Idiots doing dumb things in the wrong places! Bad passing, late braking.. no lights..

5: lots of coastal showers

6: Campher trees: these stupid pests of trees have some oil in their berries apparently. that section of road is lined with these trees for a few Km, on both sides. So, add it all together..

So, You get a winding, flat bit of crap road with oil on the surface, and the dew has not evaporated yet.. (or the rain).

Then people try and overtake to late, they bawke brake and nobody has a clue what they or anybody else are doing.

Suddenly it all comes apart.. and SMASH!

Thats how I see it, Just hang right back from the pack and wait. You will see exactly what I mean.

I drive a big coach through there and people in barina's try and play chicken with me..? What are they thinking? or not thinking?

My advice, keep good tyres on ya car, Stay at least 3 seconds behind the car in front. Avoid the drive in bad weather!

you want bad speed bumps...

go round the back of the albany creek tavern there are tripple speed bumps...

Its a joke, by the time your front wheels hit the third bump your rears are on the first bump and they tall bumps too...

Holy shit, went past there tonight, ( not in the skyline thank god, ) those things are insane. honestly, were they needed, lol

i also complained to main roads about the nudgee highway access road, and i got a call the next day saying they are evaluating the road, and if needed will re do it.

whats the bet nothing happens

Yeas, some people haven't a clue what damage "speed bumps" can do.

Here in hell town, there's massive road works. They had a 40k speed section and a stop-go man.

As the killer, they also had one of those fabricated steel speed bumps bolted to the road. You know the ones, you get them at shopping centres etc and you have to really crawl over them.

Unfortunately were all bumper-to-bumper thanks to the stop go man, so we didn't even see the speed bump until BANG.

You try hitting one of those bastards at 40.

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
