Not surprise you'd write a bad review considering you intended not to like SCS in the first place therefor not giving it a chance...

For me that DID enter I found it an enjoyable day - caught up with mates from other car clubs, met people and caught up with fellow SAU-ers. Plenty of nice cars there to check out and plenty of crowd from what I could see - definitely more cars and more people than this year's AutoSalon. Got some good shots too - will have em up shortly.

SCS is not my prefference. I don't like the scissor doors and 22" Vault chrome rims on WRX's. Just my opinion mate. As I said, I enjoyed the Skylines down there and the other tough cars (Steve's S13 and PureSX 180) but, overall, it was a poor blatant copy of AJD just smaller crowds and smaller amount of cars on show. Having some tool cranking music out of his car at the show while sitting in the car giving people the "Look at me, I'm so tough" look isn't cool.

Just my opinion - there's plently others who hate/love the show. Everyone on here is entitled to their own opinion on the show. Even if I entered the show, I would have posted the exact same opinion.

Just like Autosalon - it's a love/hate show.

So all in all disapointed?? Im just sussing some pics out atm and doesn't look like to bad a turnout!!

How was the cop situation today?? No defecting of cars in the carparks or anything???

Cops on horses, cops on bikes circling Jetty road and apparently a defect station was setup just past the oval later in the day!

was that some dudes behind SAU? Yeah.. me and trdz decided to drown them out with our own bass, and they gave us a wtf look LOL

Yeah it was either those dudes or the ones next to him.. i wasn't sure who's car it was coming from. But they all turned around and gave me and trdz a death stare at the same time.. it was rather intimidating LOL

Anyhow, we showed SAU +1 for sound-offs lol

We seriously needed more cars in the display.... if we had 16 or so like we did last year then we'd literally have taken up an entire row :P

Phu's RX8 was tasty, and Bruce's widebody S15's awesome too.. but the RX7's were porn man!

Yes its your opinion - but what I was getting it was your had that opinion from the start - sure the cars/crowd may not be as much as AJD(not sure wasnt there, Tiesto cocnert in VIC ftw!) but is it SCS's fault for people going around bad mouthing the show from the start and preventing people from entering? Same with the bling bling chromies and scissors doors - not my cup of tea either but you tend to get that at any car shows and the doof doof - people do that at car shows - livens up the atmosphere.

There was still a descent amount of entrants and spectators for me to go there with an open mind as usual and make an enjoyable day out of it :P

Oh yeah, there's no doubt it wasn't a decent day out! But yeah, SCS has attracted alot of negative comments and opinions.

It's worth it for what it is, though - and that's a free display of mostly tough cars! I think it's great that there's no entry fee or anything for the spectators.

these are the pics i have collected so far of my car (on my myspace) http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?...;albumId=914159

If anyone has more, please let me know banana.gif

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
