Whilst WA still allows a radar detector (under the radio frequency law) to be used in that state,

I'd like to ask 6 Qs

Q1 Does this mean that the owner of the WA registered car has to remove the unit upon crossing the border?

Q2 How does a Police Radar-Detector-Detector work?

Q3 How accurate is a Radar-Detector-Detector in multi-lane traffic (if the Radar-Detector picks up a Radar and is immediately switched off)?

Q4 If HP pulls you over and asks you to pop the bonnet, what if you don't know how to do that? Does the officer have the right to reach in?

Q5 I've been told by a general duties officer that any police officer would have to have 'good cause' to look under the bonnet. What constitutes good cause?

There's Police who are on SAU. Can they tell us?

Q6 What if the handle to the bonnet has a bolt screwed in + lock attached + the key was somewhere at home? Can that officer break open the bonnet even if he/she wanted to use the 'good cause' excuse?

Q7 Is there a unit that can detect a Radar-Detector-Detector = A Radar-Detector-Detector-Detector? Nah Cancel That One!

I thought he was Tez' son too lolz.

Police are not even allowed to open your bonnet, you must pull the latch and open it as they cant touch it.

good cause to search your vehicle is only if they believe you may be carrying drugs; acting suspiciously etc. Only then they are allowed to touch things.

Personal opinion: i wouldnt spend money on a radar, i just dont speed when driving A to B. When i want to speed i do it on the freeway at like 3-4am when there is no1 around.

    • No Stagea had the CVT. That was reserved for the V35. M35 Stageas had the RE5 and RE4 auto boxes.

    • I don't know if you can disassemble the thing and put it backwards for different ramp rates. They're both "2 ways" or both "1.5 ways" because well, 2 ways and 1.5 ways are the same 'thing' I do not know for sure, but I believe the 38420-RSS15-B5 is the 1 way, and 38420-RSS20-B5 is the two way. In other words, I predict Nissan considers this: to be a 1.5 way. No idea what actually happens when it arrives/you disassemble it. It would be an excellent question to ask Nismo directly! I somehow doubt you will get an answer though, I feel you would be the first person to document what you encounter when you open the box and the internet would be grateful.
