i passed my test first time. i was like 2 marks from getting perfect (excluding the reaction section this only counts if you have to stop or tern suddenly) i was so pissed i got all of the test right. i asked the guy with me after each section to tell me if i missed something and he said that i did every thing right. And then at the end he says that i wasn't signaling for one part and not checking my blind spot when changing lanes. i was so f***ing pissed.

i don't know how you guys can take failing for stupid things

i guess that it is expected for ppl to fail at least once

Honestly, good on him for failing you.

A stop sign means just that. STOP.

Not slow down and only stop if you really, absolutely have to.

Honestly, good on you for being a hero

If you bothered to read the thread you would know that he didnt fail because he ran a stop sign.

Hence your post is a fail...

Since we're on the topic of bad drivers...

I wish somehow they would re-test everyone again...

Cause half the people on the road don't know how to drive, for example.

-Random braking for no reason...

-People swirving in and out of lanes, as if they're drunk

-Random's that like sticking 20km's under the speed limit, etc, etc, etc

I can go on for ever...half the people on the road shouldn't even be driving.

I mean I remember a couple years back you could buy your license...

I failed mine twice in 1993 but I'm sure its way harder now. Failed one because the instructor needed to improve her observation skills - I was checking my rear view she just never saw me checking it and then I erred on the safe side and gave way to someone not quite up to turning across the intersection from me. Believe me when you do pass you'll be so happy you will forget those fails instantly

Yes re-testing would be good it would take half the drivers off the road so the rest of us could enjoy it more lol.

failed my l's 3 times... finally got it ont he 4th try ( never was good at reading )... passed my p's 1st time.. nearly failed for speeding though ( 2 out of 3 crosses ).. lost my lisence the day after... still waiting till feb to get it back .. hahah

Just to rub it in some more

L's first go

Red (auto) first go

learned manual for a week.

Booked Red (manual) a week later.

First go

Green's first go.

Then take into account I've spent about 9 months not driving due to suspensions lol

failed my 1st p's test... was told... AND I QUOTE "get infront of the car beside us and turn right at the next set of lights" did exactly that... then the FU*KHEAD tells me "YOU FAIL!" cos i sped up 2 get infront of the car beside me...

can anyone tell me how 2 get infront of sum1 WITHOUT accelerating? excluding winding down the window and yelling out "SLOW DOWN MANIAC!"

FU*K i was not happy! lol

If only they failed more people, the roads would be a safer place possibly...

+1

Maybe you're just one of those people best suited to public transport ?!? :D

Since a driving test is really only a "simple" exercise to test BASIC driving skills.........

(This is 11-12 odd years ago now so I am not sure if you can still do it.)

My instructor came along for the ride on my P's test and sat in the back seat. He was well known by most of the examiners in the area. It just so happened he knew the examiner I got and they proceeded to spend the whole test gas-bagging to each other. I don't think the examiner gave a shit if I did the right thing or not. Try that! Works everytime.

AHAHAHa, that was my exact situation too. I failed first time and it was bullshit. i reckon i actually drove better the first time. i think i failed caus i did my test in my r32.lol and passed the 2nd attempt caus they were chatting their balls off.

My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
