just over a week to go,,,, place your bets now.....

on the 18th of october my baby hit 159.5rwkw with pod and exhaust...... this time it will be running at 11psi (unless its safe to run it on 12psi) and front mount..... whoever guesses the highest reading on my car on the day, exactly, will get 5 big mac's from me on Mc Happy Day.... only catch is you can only make one guess, it has to be on this forum so everyone can see, and it has to be posted the friday before dyno day so everyone gets a fair shot....

COMMON ITS MC HAPPY DAY!!!! ANY EXCUSE TO BUY BIG MACS

If its an R33 with a stock ecu and those mods maybe 172.7rwkw?? I dont know if a stock 33 ecu lets it run over 10psi without cutting out does it? My ecu would always cut at 10psi. I have same mods + PFC for dyno and track days on 10-11psi and it should hit over 190rwkw.

haha

you're doing what i did last dyno day

I made bets, 50c buy in, had like a mad $4.50 pot...

mine got WAY higher then we thought... people wanted their money back

178.2  cause that's what I got :D

I'm gonna go with 168kw. No maccas for me if I win. Just give em the cash ;)

stock ecu is a funny thing....my old 33gtst with exhaust, fmic, pod, 12psi(or as start at 12 and drop of like all stock turbos) made 205rwkw...

end of june this year my new 33gtst with same mods except safc made same power off 11psi...209 off 12psi....and 213 off 13psi.....but now a few months later im hitting airflow cut and have to bring it back to 10psi....go figure....

should be interesting....prob wont have the parts back on from my recent travels to stock town after the boys in blue hit me with an inspection....will see how the week goes....fingers crossed i can get her ready...

hahahah are you the brendan with the silver r33 with the black bonnet the other day?????

also i turned my boost tee from off to 5 clicks and i went from 8psi-11psi, so i turned it another 5 clicks expecting it to be definately at 12psi and my gauges stay at 11psi.... i think your on to something about the standard ecu thingy....

also its my game and i'm placing a bet aswell,,,, i'll say 180.5 killer wasps at the wheels..... yum i like wasps

and somebody must know someone who doesn't need their power fc anymore????

I dont know if this is looked down upon but a mate of mine would like to come and put his S6 RX7 on.... I haven't been to an SAU dyno day b4 and was wondering if its just for skylines or if other ppls mates r coming and having a run in non skylines/non nissans? All good if its not allowed. Just askin

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
