Dba Slotted 5000 Discs

Hi,

Just wanted to get some info from you guys about the DBA "Slotted" 5000 Discs... are they any good? Ie - known for cracking/weak? Any bad experiences with them?

I ask this because I am considering getting them for my new front discs for my R34 GT-R.

Also, how much do they go for? Is Autobarn the best place to get them? Or Repco???

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I have the DBA slotted discs on my car for years, they are really good, never had a problem.

There was a thread a while back about DBA4000s not being up to track work, but IIRC there were no such problems with the 5000s. The problem with the 4000s appears to be a design flaw with the slotting, and cracking common on the radial slot at the edge of the rotor. For the 5000s the "slotted" design shown HERE appears sensible. Avoid the cross-drilled "XS".
