Hey,

I just started up the R33 tonight to keep the battery charged as I'm not driving it very often lately and i noticed something different..

The car has installed a pivot shift light - pen style one mounted on the steering column.. previously it would turn on around 6500rpm odd - which is perfect..

However, tonight the light turned on whenever over 3000rpm. I could confirm this by looking at the RSM. This is really strange and only just started happening tonight :D

On the weekend I had to jump start the car as I hadn't started it for 2 weeks and the battery had gone flat.. too flat for even the alarm to work.. I would have thought, if anything, this would have something to do with it.. however it was fine immediately after jump starting the car.

How do you adjust these and how could it adjust itself somehow??

Any info be most appreciated, thanks!

hmms. stupid question.. where/how do you adjust it.. there appears to be nothing on the actual light to change.. just a cable running under the speedo area.. must there be another box hiding under there?

Any ideas why it was fine after getting the car started again.. and now its not.. very strange ..

Okay, just so I dont look so completely useless..

I printed out the RSM manual from the apexi usa site and had a good look through. Found the settings and so on and figured it all out.. Is quite easy really isnt it - just paniced because I thought something could be wrong with my baby :D

    • I used to have Walbro 255's when they were a pretty common update. (or were they 044? 040?) In any case I had a dirty tank. I thought the tank was good, but I would find the filter would clog in maybe ~50km of driving. If the issue persists, well, your fuel system or tank has crap in it that the pump is sucking up.
    • Hi. Ok thanks for the info. I/we do not know what tune is on that Nistune ECU so it is why there is stock ECU and that Nistune is for later when the car is done. I have guy who tunes Nistune and other ECU so i will then take it to him to see and properly tune for the car   And for the update. On 99,9% it is bad fuel pump. Which is wierd cuz it is like 2 years old(brand new walbro 255) and that filter (also brand new) was dirty.  I was alwaya pumped premium(100) on very good petrol station so i dont know how is that possible...
    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
