Pretty much what it says in the title. I have my eyes on my GF's old 16" Momo alloys from her 200SX S13. I know the stud pattern is the same, but what about the offsets? Any other reason why I can't just bolt them straight on.

I ask because I need to get the alloys refurbished first. One of them is no-longer round due to an unmarked, unlit pothole. Don't want to spend the money if they aren't going to fit.

Far as I know m8. I'm sure the stock cefiro's in japan have the pre facelift s13 wheels. Also I've seen a cefiro drifting with a 5 stud conversion with s14 wheels on, so would guess s13 4 studs would fit a 4 stud cefiro.

Hmm stock S13 wheels are different in the UK. That's my car but I take it you already figured that out :P

They're not just the same design with a different offset or anything like that though?

Ah, I think I know what you mean. Those wheels are commonly referred to as SR wheels, because they were on SR20 S13's.

The ones found on CA18 S13's are commonly called teardrop wheels, or CA wheels.

But basically, if it fits on the S13 then it's most likely going to fit your cefiro.

If you are worried there is a thread getting around this section of the forum where alot of people have put descriptions of what wheel size they have (width and offset) and pictures of how they fit. Then you could have a bit of an idea how that will compare to your 16" rims.

Only problems you will have is if you have upgraded to R32 skyline calipers (the 4pot ones) then the S13 wheels won't fit without spacers, and if you put R33 calipers on you won't be able to fit 15" rims.

Are these the S13 rims you are talking about?

I think those are the ones yes. Problem is the UK never got the SR20 S13. We got the 180SX S13 (with a CA) up until 1994 then the Silvia S14 from 94 onwards, both were sold as the 200SX.

Looks like they should go on though, thanks

These are the wheels I have in mind BTW

They'll no longer fit my GF's S13 due to her brakes.

Did she upgrade to skyline brakes?

At least you didn't get stuck with the 240sx (KA24 engine) like the USA did.

We didn't get anything in Australia, they are all grey imports, but you wouldn't think that with the amount of them on the road.

Well she actually had to buy a new shell because someone drove into the back of that one. It came with R33 brakes on the front and R32 brakes on the back (or maybe the other way around, not sure).

Before that she had a set of Z32 fronts and standard rears. I think I'll be borrowing the Z32 brakes since they're just sat in the shed doing nothing.

And yeah, you're quite close to Japan and their second hand cars are so cheap, I'm not surprised the country is full of them

And yes, at least it's not the KA truck engine. She's quite happy with the CA (which is running about 250bhp), prefers it to the SR. She knows more about these engines than I do to be perfectly honest.

I think I'm going to prefer the RB to both of them though. I drove a NA 1.8l Mazda 323F with the V6 once and was amazed at how nippy it was, convinced me that 6 cylinders is the way to go.

I'm pretty sure it's a 6" wide rim with +38 offset, I used to have a set of standard cefiro wheels but they don't fit on the front or the rear after I put R33 brakes on.

If your gf's wheels were fitting over the Z32 front calipers, and they aren't fitting on her new 180, then it'll be R33 calipers (as Z32 and R32 front brakes are identical in size).

Also the fact that the wheels I have in mind are going to need some costly repair work as one of them isn't quite round.

Quite difficult to road test and make sure they haven't screwed up the handling when the car is being unsettled by a bent wheel. Not to mention that I wont have the car until January.

    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
    • the Tomei LSD fluid with lsd kit. frustrated that it was shaking the car to crap and affecting everything else negatively, I pulled the diff last night, and removed the lsd carrier, could not find anything wrong, however it seem to be 100 locked up acceleration, and deacceleration, wondering if they sent me a 2 way not a 1.5??  either way I installed the stock open carrier back in place. test drove everything smooth as butter again. no shake, shutter, random, what felt like clutch slip and grab or drive shaft play, etc. something differently wrong in side the lsd. I might bother taking it apart (if possible) to figure out what's going on inside this carrier, as bought too long ago to return.  only draw back is its back to a one wheel wonder.
