Oil & Oil Filter Light On R34 Gt-t

Hey guys found these located just under the headlight adjustment switch. Dosnt look like after market job and both of mine are always on and light up amber/orageish color

What is this for? Is it to indicate I need to change my fluids? And how do you reset them? once you have done the change?

Just a guess but would that be a reminder to change your oil or filter when the time is right? Dont know how it would get that information but thats what it loosk like to me. I thought of this because BMW's have lights on their dash which pop up when it is time for a service.

My car has this too (but only the oil led is showing). It lit up today when the car ticked over 47,500km.

First thing I did was check the oil, it was a little on the low side. I'll top her up with some oil soon and see if the led goes off again.

      Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?

      Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster

      Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.

      Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
