Comments/Modifications:

ENGINE: VH45DE quad cam V8, it runs, however after having it looked at, it seems to have possible cracked piston/s. New engine is likely to be required, quoted around 2g's for new engine. 90mm Throttle Body in perfect condition (have previously been offered $400 for this to be used on a Skyline)

TRANSMISSION: Recently fully rebuilt and kitted auto transmission with 2800rpm torque convertor, over 4g's spent at Advanced Transmissions. Trans in very good condition, could go into 300zx if parted out?

BRAKES AND SUSPENSION: Bendix heavy duty pads, fairly new front rotors, unsure of exact km's, but spent over $800 when changing the brakes about a year and a half ago. Active Q45 suspension, however accumulators seem to be pretty flat, so a little more may be required or swap to coilovers.

WHEELS AND TYRES: 17x10inch rims at rear, and 17x8inch fronts. They came from Japan but i'm unsure of the brand, on other forums Veilside has been suggested, however i'm 100%, see photos for details. Wrapped in more or less BRAND NEW Hankook RS-2's! Engine went very shortly after fitting the tyres :P

ECU: The standard ECU was sent to the States for retuning by NICO (see nicoclub.com forums for details). Switchable ECU with 4 engine maps, ranging from stock (better fuel economy etc, to a 'Stage 3' setting with increased power and very free revving), estimated 20-30kw gain from this tune.

BODYKIT: Bodykit came on the car from Japan, and the manufacturer is unknown, the car was bought from Jeff at C-Red Tuning in WA, and he informed me that the kit is a Wise-Sports Kit. There are a number of marks in the front bar including a tow ball puncture (thanks supermarket..), but otherwise its in quite good condition.

INTAKE/EXHAUST: Blitz LM Core Air Filter, and Modified Exhaust (Still legal but a nice deep note).

REASONS FOR SELLING: Well I've managed to do something stupid enough to ensure that I'm going to lose my licence after going to court. Need to get a lawyer pretty quick... So rather than take the time to get the car repaired and then selling it as I had previously planned, I'm going to have to sell it ASAP

I would have made up something about going overseas etc. but hey shit happens...

This car has been very enjoyable to drive and own for the last few years and i'll be sad to see it go, electric everything, aftermarket CD player and such with new 6x9's in the back. Electric sunroof and seats..

The photos were taken a little while back, so the damage to the front bar is not seen.

I strongly believe that the person who buys this car and fixes is getting a good bargain, or if the car was parted out it would be likely to make more in parts than what I am selling it for, (rims, trans, throttle body, tires, all very sellable)

Any questions or want to have a look or make an offer just call or text me on 0405 023 009, or email [email protected]

Thanks for your time :)

fark these things are rare....

ive seen front cuts in sydney go for $1500, so replacing the engine shouldnt be a problem... may as well get a turbo manifold fabbed up while ya at it...

boosting these things should be illegal. absolutly insaneness

good luck selling in this markets current state....

if i was hanging around it would of made a great project car.

Thanks for the luck mate,

Yeah prob not the best time to be selling, but not much choice hey.

Yeh front cuts go pretty cheaply if you look around, if i had the time and spare cash it'd be my own project car :D haha

Cheers

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
