Here's my dyno sheet from the PGA dyno day. The engine has not even looked like suffering detonation running as lean as lambda 0.86-0.88. Also take note that my peak torque figure is down on yours, Lee. Boost comes on earlier and hits harder than mine so I'm guessing that's the main factor.

Hey Matt,

Cheers for posting your sheet up as i was interested in seeing what difference our tunes would show up on the dyno. Apparently you can run as lean as .90 before you start losing torque with E85 which goes to show how forgiving the fuel really is. Does your Microtech run the VCT?

Not too sure if GWW is reading correct or not but would have definately been interested to see Adrians car on there. Wait til next DD i guess.

I read your post on GT's thread and got me thinking i should maybe ring Enffue to see if they can shed any light on the matter. Long story short the Manager was nice enough to return my call stating they have over 1000 ltrs at the moment and are expecting another delivery next week. As to the future of E85 at their station he said he was under the impression that they will continue supplying the fuel. Next few weeks will tell the story i guess with the receivership, cant say i'm overly enthused on paying $2 plus for a litre.

Hey Lee,

No prob's mate. Good old E85 :woot: Yep, NVCS is still operational. Built bottom end with low comp' is part of the reason for the difference in response between our set-ups.

I've seen reports from people that have used both dyno's that show one and then the other reads higher/lower. I know on one thing for sure, a dyno figure is just a number. Yeah be good to see how Adrian's car goes on the GWW dyno now.

From your latest info' on the Mawson Lakes ENFFUE station it sounds a little more promising that it first appeared. Fingers crossed the news continues to improve.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
