Hey guys i searched this and didn't come up with much so thought i would ask it.

On my stock GT-R turbos my car was boosted to 17psi from the actuators but now i did the N1 Conversion its running at 6psi from the actuator.

What do i have to do to get it back to 17psi? I don't understand how this works so if there anyone who knows could they school me and tell me how to get it back to 17 so ill know for the future. thanks

never done it on a car, only on other things so i guess its the same,

when you close the actuator (if its the same one we're talking about) it routes more air through the turbo, so just close it and that will see a bit over 17psi, not sure how much.

please. feel free to correct me

some actuators have a thread on the rod that goes the wastegate... u can disconect the rod fromt he wastgate (its only a split pin) and turn the rod...if you make the rod shorter it will increase boost, longer decrease boost... i dont know however if gtr turbos have this and if they did how youd go about setting both the gates to exactly the same boost...

thats why im stuck see i hat a t piece before and i recently had a avcr which i sold i needed the cash. But when i got the car back from my rebuild it was running 17psi he said boosted from the actuators so now that i have n1's its on 6 psi and it really sucks .

Sounds like you and him (mechanic) might be mixing things up between yourselves maybe. When he said its making 17psi from the actuator maybe he just meant the avcr isnt opening the actuators til 17psi. Would make sense if you had it t-pieced and the actuator control unit installed. You also said you had sold the avcr so now you have nothing but standard actuators explaining the low boost. I think the obvious answer is your going to need another boost control unit so get more out of the N1 turbo's and control when the actuators are opening.

From the info you have given I can't see any other explanation but maybe someone else can... My mate has a 33 GTR and an old school avcr and the 2 actuators are t-pieced in and run as a single line to the avcr.

If it was running 17psi without the avcr then i dont know lol.. f**ked actuators on your stock turbo's maybe or dodgy internal gates?? I had a stuffed actuator (single RB25DET turbo and actuator on an RB20DET) and it was running/spiking 14psi and holding 12 when it was supposed to run 6psi.

If the old actuators were adjustable and set to 17 psi then you should be able to swap them with the n1 actuators. Measure the length of them first before you do this though to check that it will work on n1's.

Otherwise buy a new boost controller. Would be easier.

Or if you want a free mod to up the boost...get some pliers and bend the actuator rods so that they have shorter throw :worship:

ah ok yea now i get it thanks man the guy above obviously didn't understand what i said and posted anyway!

I never installed the AVC-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The car was previously running 17 psi set from the actuators i was going to install an avcr but i didnt do it!!!!!

thanx man ill do what you said and see how i go

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
