There can only be one! (in SA) LOL

post-49637-1230475900_thumb.jpg

Probably doesn't deserve it being a sedan and all, but V35 GT8 was already taken. Someone on the forum has VDIRTY5, I really like this cos my car is pretty much always dirty. Might try to come up with something else in the future. G35 is also taken in SA.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!.....you lucky bugger!!!!...(thumps feet!!!)

Well done man!! :(

NSW's euro plate N-IS-54N or N-I554N both taken? If not then it'll be even more correct in terms of spelling of Nissan :)

Believe me I tried every variation I could both euro and non euro, variations on 'nismo' and personal nicknames.

in the end it was either my plates now or LDF-33T (Lead feet) but I think the euro plate suited my car more, and they can only start with N

"N-I554N" isn't compatible in euro format and if it was would cost $500 a year on top of rego  to the rta

had some random admirer tell me the plates also say "big brother" in japanese lol so I'm quite happy with em

Mine

It is carrying on the name from my last Skyline

mmmmmmmm.....mxtcy........noicccccccce.

I've noticed a lot of you guys appear to still have that rear number plate holder 'contraption' thing still attached to your rides....why?

First thing I did was rip the ugly farking thing orrrrrf!...looks so much neater, and covers more crap by mounting the plate higher, I found.

(my pics on page 1, btw)

they're up man.....I think page 1 of this topic. :D

:) whoops didn't realise that was you heh

don't worry, anyone that mistakes your plates for an alfa is an econobox poser, the real enthusiasts will know what the 'GT' means :P

But I'm a tad confused about something you said, and wiffs of info I've got from around here.

didnt wanna pay more a year for more letters :D

What does this mean??

......we, here in Vic, pay a 'one-off' ownership/purchase price....is it an annual thing for other states?

lucky duck!!....Fark that's good!...I remember typing those alpha/nums into the RTA plate site, coz I farkin wanted it!....lol!

(Infact, I recall typing a lot of the plate combos I've seen here!)

Oh yeah....maybe think about headin' down to Supercreep auto after work and get you sum' plate protectors, they look ace and protect your 'investment'...which they actually are!!)

Great stuff, and take some pics for us of the rear without the 'piano accordian' attached!!...

cheers.

It was a bit late in the game when I got mine, but I ended up with CFV35, given the amount of carbon fibre on my car.... Yet to be registered, so no pics of plates attached yet: hopefully by mid next week....

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
