scratched window

ok i want to tint my windows soon but i have a little scratch at the bottom of the passenger side window .. first i thought i had cracked it ... but upon closer inspection it was just a deep scratch .. i dont know how it got there ... anyways how much does it cost to get rid off??

inside or out? can you see it if you put something black behind it?

if you cant see it, may need to fill it with silicon, then tint it anyway!

might be very hard to fix up, try calling or going to a windscreen centre!!

i had to replace my windscreen last week cos someone decided to scratch it, and the blokes at the store took one look at it and said it needed to be replaced, i dont think they can do much to fix glass

are u sure?? i mean they could of just taken u for a ride ... to sell a windscreen

im my case i dont think so there was a 30cmX30cm area of scratching right in the view of the driver and fairly deep. the windsreen itself was only $225 fitted also had to be brought in from melbourne

no in my case its very little .. on the diver side door right on the bottom left hand corner .. u can't see it unless u really look .. but its annoying maybe about 5 cm in length

i haven't tinted yet .. i wanna fix it up before i tint it ... oh well i'll visit the glass repair shop after i get my car back ..

they will fill it with resin, windscreen obrian did mine yesterday for $60 and an hour of your time

they do a awesome job, i got a crack removed, cant even see it now

Depending on how deep it is, you might want to try one of those CD repair kits on it. Probably the cheapest semi-permanent option.

i gota chip in my windscreen but cracks spanning out to a radius of a 20 cent piece

that should be able to be filled, driver!!!

definately try that first, front screens wont be cheap, since a rear quarter window was $300!!
