The little voice in my head... oh wait, that's the 2 week old baby screaming :(

ahaha's ! lol

how's it all going????

good luck on pickup, going to be a good fun trip :)

I still remember the day I grabbed mine, flew to brissy, got picked up, test drove, did a deal, dropped car off at freighters (following sellers dad in crazy mx5 slip-thru-traffic style; he was showing off, almost had an accident & fight at lights, then congratulated me on keeping up - LOL), taxi to airport then home. week later got the car from the freighters.

would have prefered to drive the car home but knees, room etc (since extended the seat rails)

best of luck

oh and to nick too ^^ lol our 5yr old is a terror atm but the 3yr old is a cutie  fun fun

It cost me over $50 just to get from the domestic airport to the city (Wynyard) but that was during peak hour. It'll be another $20 from City to Lane Cove. But if it's the weekend that you're going, it'll be much quicker and cheaper. Don't forget if you catch a taxi you're slugged the bridge toll too. Catch a train will be about $15 each (Chris is going too yeah?) But a cab would be about I'm guessing $50 to LAne Cove. In saying that, whereis.com staes it's only a 19min drive from Syd Domestic Airport to Lane Cove. Seems a bit quick.

Yeah, wish I could go too!

umm, yeah but wynyard is in the heart of the city.

lane cove is a drive from the airport thru the harbour tunnel and out to lane cove with very few stops (if any) till you get to lane cove. any time that is off peak will be a pretty quick ride. as long as you avoid the afternoon peak it will be a snip.

they can go cutesy and take you out via victoria rd and avoid a toll but probably add another $5-10 for the time sitting in traffic.

hey brendon, yeah it all went well, both bub and mrs are well. The 3 yr old isn't too impressed everyones attention has shifted away from her ofcourse.

Adam, maybe it is quite a bit cheaper then what i was thinking. If you have gear to lug around as well, and you're travelling on a Sunday probably cabbing it would be your best bet. Just don't lose your license on the drive back now!

Nope, Nick, if you're using the Harbour Bridge to head North out of the city towards Lane Cove, then you wouldn't normally have to pay the toll for the bridge, so you shouldn't have to pay it for the taxi either.

BUT, if you use the Harbour Tunnel instead of the Harbour Bridge, then IIRC the charge works both ways, but as Andrew says, off-peak is a pretty quick trip, either way. And it's best to ensure they DON'T use Victoria Road, as any money saved on the tolls you would have paid would not make up for the time you've lost.

...

That's right. But I thought you had to pay for them to come back over the bridge? The "Return Toll" as stated on this link. (http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/taxi/fares.html)

It'll cost you about $50-$60 i reckon. Can we place bets?? :P

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
