Your wiring should be:

Red Wire (Pwr)

Green Wire (RPM Signal)

Brown Wire (Ground closest to ECU)

Black Wire (Ground a few cm's from the Brown wire)

Yellow Wire (Air Fuel closest to the ECU in)

White Wire (Air Fuel the other end of the snipped wire)

Grey Wire (Throttle Signal)

Ignore all other wires. You would not need them.

Yep when I accidentally unplugged it it stalled straight away. But not having a screwdriver to plug the wires back in (they got yanked out of the unit itself - long story) and being a few k's from home I had no choice but to try running it without.

It started up fine first kick funnily enough, but then wouldn't rev above 2000 or so. I crawled all the way home at about 40kph, and it was running so rich you could smell the fuel from the cabin sometimes.

It's far from the optimal situation because the extra fuel can wash the oil from your cylinder bores, but 10000km later I've had no issues. It can also foul your plugs. But it's better to have it running too rich than too lean.

With the Yellow/White wire which detects the AFM, it is best to not just join the wires but to get a female/male wire fitting plug as seen in the Apexi manual. This is so if any problems you encounter in the future with the SAFC, all you have to do is unplug the white/yellow wires and plug in the stock ecu by joining the male to the female wire fitting plug. :)

I shit myself when that happened to me. turn off the engine straight away as i thought it will be back to factory settings by just unplugging the harness..

Oh, from my experience, resettings the ECU also helps. Car runs more smoother. :)
