I'm just passing on a mates quote as he can't seem to get in contact with anyone.

I twice filled out the form to register and it says accepted and to look out for the validation email etc - but that never comes (its been weeks now). See here for a help desk list of people with similar problems...

there are a lot of junk replies to that help desk post - but the help desk has many similar posts with the same 'no email' problem and that's just in THIS MONTH. Other posts on the help forum suggest this has been a problem since last August - no one is getting validation emails

Secondly - I've also gone to the skyline forum facebook page and emailed the above situation to a 'christian' listed there but no reply to that after a week either. So basically I'm trying to find out what happened to a validation email that should have come to [email protected]

thanks

Fixed. He should be able to log in now.

Usually when people don't get the validation email it would be because it goes to their junk box, or is considered spam or some other problem with their email.

I'm not sure what this 'help desk' is your mate refers to :D

you go here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...tocom=help_desk

or click support in the top left hand corner

although, I don't see any tickets when im logged in.. but when I log out I can see a big list of them.

Hi all and thanks to Rolls I'm finally on here. Just a comment - I realise the junk filter thing is an obvious cause but I can assure you that was not the case here so there is likely some kind of glitch with your validation emails. Likewise - glad you found the Help section now - its got lots of posts about the same problem....

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
