Gtr Ecu Remap

Im thinking about getting my stk ECU remaped at Boostworx (SA)

i spoke to the tuner there (shaun), he said i just be able to see about 280kw on stk injectors depending on how well my exhaust flows?

mods:

2860-7s

Cat back.

boost controller.

im interested to see if any1 has had any good bad experiences with GTR remaps?

remap or different ECU? power FC?

yeah go for it. we have run 280kw in a standard gtr with standard injectors and afms on a remapped standard computer. in fact we only changed across to PFC recently because its easier to retune.

But if you just want to get the tune done and aren't planning to change much more it is an excellent option.

One thing though - what is the power potential of your turbos? If they go to or over 300kw you are better putting in bigger injectors and afms before you tune as they will just hold you back

The tuner did mention that my injectors would be the first thing to hold me back. He sugested 700cc injectors? also ive just put an R34 GTR fuel pump in so flow should be ok?

if i can squeeze more power out of it with a few more minor mods then ill have to consider them

Also should i consider Front pipes? hi flow cat?

Im pretty sure my cat is in a bad way since my ceramic wonders blew and the exhaust wheel got lodged in there :S

yeah youl definately need some front pipes atleast and a higher flowing cat if you have a goal of 280+rwk.

Stock injectors should hold up at 280rwk. Just get a good fuel pump. nismo or tomei
