Whats the difference in the gtr fuel tank that you need to change to it

All you need to do is use the straps that came from the gtr and then the inside strap has to moved over a few inchs. If you take out your spare tire you can see where the orignal strap is bolted to and then look to your left you should be able to see a bolt that is welded to the floor

The only reason i had f**k around so much was casue i tried to fit a fuel tank out of xf falcon but i gave up when i found a gtr tank that came with the straps for the right price.

hey buddy

just wondering those coilovers how much hight clearance do u get from the ground to the kit if they are wound up? and r they rebound adjustable too?

in perth u need a 100mm hight clearance and ive got d2 coilovers and they are wound up as high as can go and i dont have the 100mm hight clearance and its not rebound adjustable so its very bumpy lol

and no manufacturer can tell me what will be suitable

if u could let me no it would be a great help cheers

this is for mr moose =]

is ur r32 licensed or nah??

i live just round the corner from u in warwick

ive got all tech centre approvals for everything on my r324 and im having the hardest time with the suspension, tryning to find a coilover that will give me 100mm minimum hight clearance, every coilover ive tried so far has to be wound all the way up and i only get 80- 95 mm hight clearance but with NO rebound at all

do u have any idea as to what will suit our car with the kit sitting so low to the ground???

The front bar sits about 130mm from the ground at the moment(as i can't get out of the driveway if it was any lower) when i first put them in i had 50mm of clearance.

check out the following site for more info on the coilovers.

Hey mate,

awesome to hear that theres another 324 in my neck of the woods. Ive barley done anything on mine lately so prob another 6 months atleast till shes on the road. Coilies wise ive got hks hyper-d's on the rear and gabs on the front. No problems with clearance either, got about 120mm at the rear and 110mm at the front. Silly question but what size rims are you running? ive got 18's on mine.

Cheers

Mark,

ps if you ever wanna pop round to check out the car your more then welcome

of the top of my head ive got i think they are 265 o 275 on a 18' rim i had 235 but needed the spacer to fill the guard up

i had the d2 coilovers but not enough clearance, so might go with those hsds that other guy has but not sure how good they are as a steet track coily, do u no anyone that runs them?

where did u buy your kit from and how much? i was thinking of doing on for the mrs but cant find the anywhere to get one from. is yours the prf one? can yours crack easy? or is yours pretty flexy?

I got my kit of ebay, can pick em up at rrp of about $900 + shipping. I got mine for a bargin at $600 inc shipping. But that doesnt include a bonnet, which is proving to be a prick to find. Viva garage has a Carbon silver one but asking $900

righto, the kit you have can it be broken easily or is it fairly flexible, thats why ive chosen to go with the raceonuse hiflex kit but for the mrs just a normal one should be fine, u can have carbon fibre bonnet just needs to be adr approved you can get them but their in that 900 buck price range

mines unregistered at the moment need to get approvals for all my mods before taking it over the pits. is yours already registered?

what are your plans for yours?

Kit seems pretty fexible, quite happy with the workman ship, for the price.

Ive yet to sort any aprovals out yet =/, im going to need coiles, fmic, rims (9.5' front, 10" rear) and 2 seat conversion approved.

The cars un regoed atm and has allot of work to be done.

Currently she is compleatly stripped, no engine or box, the fronts bolted together. Just on the process of flushing the drivers rear fender.

were u looking for engine, box parts ect? im selling a whole bunch of 32 parts

im a panelbeater so if i can be of any help just ask mate, would love to work on another one of these, min should be in power cruise this year hopefully if i can get it regod in time

did u have site where u can pick another one of these kits up like yours but with the bonnet? the mrs is really keen lol

ive got approvals for everything down to the short shifter and gear nob, i cant be f**ked with the yellow sticker shit, i have bad luck like that haha, always wrong place wrong time

4 point rear end cage this was the hardest out of everything, rims tyres wheel spacers, exhaust, suspension, camber, seats, gauges, 2 hydraulic brake boosters, kit front bumper indicators, 34 headlights r324 kit, even bonnet somehow they approved that thing, rb30det, pod filter, turbo, injectors, splitfire coilpack, intake plenum, engine mounts radiator, handbrake, fuel tank, gearbox crossmember, diff, hight so car is 100% street legal

Got the car on a trailer and out to QR for a morning drift practice session, spent more time in the dirt but had a blast and learnt alot. The only thing i broke was the passenger side skirt(will post up pics of it when i get a chance to take some pics)

Got some pics of the damage from QR. only lost one side skirt but the other side got knocked around alot so i took it off and need to buy another pair and not mold these ones on this time, and while i have the skirts off ive decided to remove the front guards and paint up all the front end to make it look a bit nicer. Plus i finally got a decent set of wheels 17x9 with a +22 offset with 30mm spacers on the back and 25mm spacers on the front.

    • Update 3: Hi all It's been a while. Quite a lot of things happened in the meantime, among other things the car is (almost) back together and ready to be started again. Things that I fixed or changed: Full turbo removal, fitting back the OEM turbo oil hardlines. Had to do quite a bit of research and parts shopping to get every last piece that I need and make it work with the GT2860 turbos, but it does work and is not hard to do. Proves that the previous owner(s) just did not want to. While I was there I set the preload for the wastegates to 0,9bar to hopefully make it easier for the tuner to hit the 370hp I need for the legal inspections that will follow later on. Boost can always go up if necessary. Fitted a AN10 line from the catch can to the intake hose to make the catchcan and hopefully the cam covers a slight vacuum to have less restrictive oil returns from the head and not have mud build up as harshly in the lines and catch can. Removed the entire front interior just shy of the dashboard itself to clean up some of the absolutely horrendous wiring, (hopefully) fix the bumpy tacho and put in LED bulbs while I was there. Also put in bulbs where there was none before, like the airbag one. I also used that chance to remove the LED rpm gauge on the steering column, which was also wired in absolute horror show fashion. Moved the 4in1 Prosport gauge from sitting in front of the OEM oil pressure gauge to the center console vents, I used a 3D printed vent piece to hold that gauge there. The HKB steering wheel boss was likely on incorrectly as I sometimes noticed the indicator reset being uneven for left vs. right. In the meantime also installed an airbag delete resistor, as one should. Installed Cube Speed premium short shifter. Feels pretty nice, hope it'll work great too when I actually get to drive. Also put on a fancy Dragon Ball shift knob, cause why not. My buddy was kind enough to weld the rust hole in the back, it was basically rusted through in the lowermost corner of the passenger side trunk area where the wheel arch, trunk panel and rear quarter all meet. Obviously there is still a lot of crustiness in various areas but as long as it's not rusted out I'll just treat and isolate the corrosion and pretend it's not there. Also had to put down a new ground wire for the rear subframe as the original one was BARELY there. Probably a bit controversial depending on who you ask about this... but I ended up just covering the crack in the side of the engine block, the one above the oil feed, with JB Weld. I used a generous amount and roughed up the whole area with a Dremel before, so I hope this will hold the coolant where it should be for the foreseeable future. Did a cam cover gasket job as the half moons were a bit leaky, and there too one could see the people who worked on this car before me were absolute tools. The same half moons were probably used like 3 times without even cleaning the old RTV off. Dremeled out the inside of the flange where the turbine housing mates onto the exhaust manifolds so the diameter matches, as the OEM exhaust manifolds are even narrower than the turbine housings as we all know. Even if this doesn't do much, I had them out anyways, so can't harm. Ideally one would port-match both the turbo and the manifold to the gasket size but I really didn't feel up to disassembling the turbine housings. Wrapped turbo outlet dumps in heat wrap band. Will do the frontpipe again as well as now the oil leak which promted me to tear apart half the engine in the first place is hopefully fixed. Fitted an ATI super damper to get rid of the worn old harmonic balancer. Surely one of the easiest and most worth to do mods. But torquing that ARP bolt to spec was a bitch without being able to lock the flywheel. Did some minor adjustments in the ECU tables to change some things I didn't like, like the launch control that was ALWAYS active. Treated rusty spots and surface corrosion on places I could get to and on many spots under the car, not pretty or ideal but good enough for now. Removed the N1 rear spats and the carbon surrounding for the tailpipe to put them back on with new adhesive as the old one was lifting in many spots, not pretty. Took out the passenger rear lamp housing... what do you know. Amateur work screwed me again here as they were glued in hard and removing it took a lot of force, so I broke one of the housing bolts off. And when removing the adhesive from the chassis the paint came right off too. Thankfully all the damaged area won't be visible later, but whoever did the very limited bodywork on this car needs to have their limbs chopped off piece by piece.   Quite a list if I do say so myself, but a lot of time was spent just discovering new shit that is wrong with the car and finding a solution or parts to fix it. My last problem that I now have the headache of dealing with is that the exhaust studs on the turbo outlets are M10x1.25 threaded, but the previous owner already put on regular M10 nuts so the threads are... weird. I only found this out the hard way. So now I will just try if I can in any way fit the front pipe regardless, if not I'll have to redo the studs with the turbos installed. Lesson learned for the future: Redo ALL studs you put your hands on, especially if they are old and the previous owners were inept maniacs. Thanks for reading if you did, will update when the engine runs again. Hope nothing breaks or leaks and I can do a test drive.
    • No those pads are DBA too  but they have colors too. I look at the and imo the green "street" are the best.
    • I’m not sure what happened I told them about sonic tunes free OTS tune and the next the I know .. I was booted..   To funny
    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
