So after I lost my license, I was told when I handed it in that once I got it back in 6 months I would have to complete the 3 months I had left and that would be that.

Went back in to VicRoads the other day to buy some custom plates (UNR34L) and it turns out the girl I spoke to first had it wrong, my license was canceled. Which means I have to start from scratch again. Hooray for another three years of NA lovin'.

I already sold my 33 GTS because I figured I'd be upgrading into a GT-T or possibly a Supra, but it looks like I'm going to have to revert back to just a plain old GT.

Anyway, no real point to this post, just a bit of a rant.

Before anyone jumps on me yelling that I deserved I will refer you to this post; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Do...=dont+be+a+hoon

welcome to the club. what what happen to me man, another three year!!!! i was suppose to be on my full last nov.

i got lock up as well for one month but, all this was for just losing point no plate and no seat belt.

I do have a few questions about the R34 actually.

How roomy is are the back seats in the R34 Sedan and Coupe? Is the coupe similar to the R33 two door?

How about the boot, bigger or smaller than the 33?

Can you get a GT4 in a two door? I've only seen sedans.

On carsales I see a lot of automatic and semi-automatic, are they all triptronic or are some cars fully automatic?

Hopefully I'll get around to a dealership to look at some over the coming weeks, but any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

R34 Sedan is actually reasonably spacious. I quite often have a full car on various occasions without any complaints from backseat passengers. Don't expect it to be as spacious as say a luxury falcon or commodore, but considering it's a Skyline it's still quite roomy and comfortable for backseat passengers.

I'm not completely sure in comparison to the 2 Door R34, but for a sports car, the boot is very big! You can fit quite a lot! For example, I've been able to fit in a large suitcase, the 15" sub in a 1.5 cu.ft. box, and still have more room to fit more.

i have the front seat right back in my r34 sedan im 5"10 and there is hardly no room for back seat passengers, they arent that roomy in my opinion.... if your smaller and have the seat forward the leg room might be acceptable.....

Good to know. I'm 6'0" so Coupe or Sedan the back is gonna be squashy regardless.

No complaints with a full car.

Compared to a S15 / S14 or a N15 Pulsar ..

R34 does well in space in the back.. thats with my Coupe atleast :P

P.S We know you're not looking at " leg room " :ninja: hahahaha.!

Heh, I didn't see this till just recently.

Yeah, I'm looking for a manual Coupe, but they're so rare. I may even import my own car. I'd love a GT4 but they're rare in Japan too.

Dunno, I'm going to do a lot of research this week regarding loans etc. If I can get decent loan I might import my own, otherwise I'll just keep saving till I get my license back and buy privately.

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
