i want the flutter noise thru my pod/airbox/air intake...whatever u want to call the setup.....

all i have is mass suction and then a massive whoooosh sound......but i want the flutter sound to come out instead...as it sounds better and all...but im not sure on which pipe i need to block or what exactly i need to do to the stock bov and piping to achieve this....

so can someone plz tell/show me....pictures would be greatly appriciated for this.....

need any more info jus ask...hope someone can help me out....

i have read that this will cause the car to stall....true/false???

Cheers

easiest way to do it is get piece of 2mm alloy sheet and take the blow off valve off where it mounts to the cross over pipe and place the pipe on the sheet and trace it out and cut it out and drill the 2 screw holes in it and place that in there instead of the gasket. That way it still looks like a gasket but the air cant get to the blow of valve and gives u the flutter sound.

thts the dumbest thing that u could do as it will f**k up ur car the way that it makes the flutter sound is by instead of releasing the air thro the blow-off it sends it back into the turbo and that will make ur car run lean u'll get shit fuel consumption and constant staling.

if u want the noise then get a screamer pipe any of the tuning shops will be able to do it its a lot better then blocking of ur blow-off.

ive got a turbosmart mega sonic BOV and apexi super intake pod filter on my r33

i get the flutter and a stadard bov cshhh sound. changes depending on the boost it hitting. but with my flutter, i have free reved the car while watching the piston in the bov and see the piston bouncing to make the flutter. tried putting a plate where the bov is and it sounded shit.

so id say get a aftermarket bov and a pod filter. unsure of other ways but mine has done 0 damage.

i had the stalling problems but cleaned my AAC valve (DIY section) and increased the idle to around 800rpm and have no problems with stalling anymore.

No offence, but your an idiot and have no idea what your talking about.

It won't make the car run lean, it actually richens up the fuel mixtures with a blocked off valve on the stock ecu, so will run rich for that split second.

What the hell does a BOV and screamer pipe have to do with one another? They are completely different things. Do you even know what a screamer pipe is?

Mate do a search on "flutter", its been covered a million times.

Thread lock?

    • Perfect, I'll get to it this winter then at the same time as I weld on my anti squat kit.
    • Alright so my 32 only has one temperature no matter what degree you set it to. I’ve tried disconnecting the servo motor arm and moving it either direction and got no change. I’ve fixed the leak in my AC and re charged it and with it on and clutch engaged it still blows hot even though the low pressure pipe going to the firewall is ice cold. Both heater core hoses are hot while running as well. Diagnostic code showed 24 for intake air temperature sensor. Anybody got any ideas?
    • I said Garrett style. Not Garrett genuine. And something in the G30 550 range is what you want. Not those pokey little old fashioned T28 sized things. The intake ports in the head are small. There is little benefit in fattening up the runners and leaving ths actual ports small. Just run what you've got. And on the subject of Nistune vs Haltech etc..... You know you can control the transmission with decent standalone ECUs these days, right? No need to keep any of that old Nissan bullshit. Don't get me wrong - I use Nistune on my Neo. But it is a DET, so the number of bodges and workarounds I had to do to make it work in a chassis without ABS, TCS, etc, is quite small compared to the herniated arsehole you will have trying to make it work on a motor that doesn't have some of the things that the turbo ECU wants to see. Just easier to bite the bullet and go aftermarket outright.
    • Hmm. Only when the f**king thing is actually working. Still can't find the leak. And that's with dye being put in the last 3 times!
