yeah i am also keen on the Greddy item, which also turns out to be the slightly cheaper of the two bars.

as Ryan has said RHDJapan has them.

this company in NZ

http://www.jdmperformance.co.nz/proddetail...-57-48-Yes.html

here is part of the pm i got from Matt aka Jin Man in regards to the getting the Greddy bars with a group buy,

Im happy to source the strut braces for you thats no problem at all, as long as we can get more than 5 people together. Im currently back at uni this coming week so I will need about 2-3(max) weeks to organise everything and allow delivery times.

A bit of a time line for reference:

1 day for email communication to Greddy and place order (hopefully they have them in stock)

4 days for postage across Japan

5 days postage back to Australia

3 days postage within Australia

2-3 days for any other small things which might come up.

Thats a very rough estimate on time but it gives you an idea of how it works and the process it goes through.

Total price is about $299 each delivered (within Australia) to your door no more to pay. I will need to get the money upfront, as I dont have enough to cover it at this time.

I organise for the items to be sent back to me in Adelaide as 1 large parcel (with tracking number), then from there they are sent separate to each buyer or Adelaide buyers can pickup.

also part of a PM from site trader ISC Performance, who can also souce the Greddy/Trust bars.

The cost of the bar will be $285 + approx $60 ems shipping + local shipping.

if we get a group order for ISC we can split the shipping from japan.

eg. if we have 5 people buying them it works out to be $297 plus postage from ISC to you.

and for anyone interested in places to get the cusco items,

site trader JDM Concept can get them, $335 + domestic postage syd to your place, 14-21 days from japan.

http://www.perfectrun.com.au/ can get them.

http://www.rmsmotorparts.com.au/ can get them.

http://www.rhdjapan.com/ can get them.

i didn't check with this company on price but they are in Perth, http://www.visionr.com.au/

Cool, all sounds pretty good. Count me in for any group buy.

The NZ site JDMPerformance has the Strut bars listed at $275 NZD that works out to be $215 AUD. Maybe we should order bars from them and get them shipped over to OZ. Even with the cost of local postage once it gets to OZ which I can't imagine would be that much I reckon the total price would come in well under $300.

Just one thing I am not sure are they quoting the same bar or is this a different Greddy bar hence why it is cheaper.

i could contact RHD about a group buy if needed?

that sounds like a good idea Ryan. i'll get in contact with JDM Performance in NZ and see what they can do for us.

i've asked a couple of the traders and suppliers about a group buy/bulk order, there is only really a saving to be seen at purchases over 10 units, and then its only like 5%.

just using the interest in this thred i'm only seeing about 4 people that are interested in a group buy style order. might have to get some real numbers together if we can get a good deal on a group order.

how'd you go with RHD Ryan?

got another reply!

Ryan,

Thank you for contacting the RHDJapan Team. We can provide you with a 6%

discount on purchases of 3 or more, 8% for 5 or more and 10% for 10 or more.

RHDJapan is proud to offer an additional 10% off all Exedy clutches and

clutch parts until March 31, 2009. This goes for all single, twin, triple,

carbon, metal clutches, plates and discs.!

Coupon Code: ExedyBlowOut

RHDJapan is offering 12% off all APP Brake Lines until 3/31/2009 (Japan

time). This goes for the Steel Mesh and top of the line Stainless Mesh!!

Coupon Code: APPBrakeLineCampaign

will that be worth it though? i mean, the money we save on the purchase needs to offest the local shipping to get it to everyone who bought one. i think at 8% discount its around a $20 saving, local postage will be around that.

i wonder if they would send them individually at that price... or just do batches per state

Look what i got in the mail today.

I ended up ordering one indirvidually through RHDJapan as we found it was the cheapest seller and the group buy wasn't really worth it. i got it for $291, i just checked and they now have it for $299 (only a week after i placed my order!!). i'm really impressed with RHDJapan, i ordered it on the 23/03 and got it today, 30/03. they also kept me up to date by email on the order status and postal tracking numbers, i recommend them.

i'll most probably be fitting it one afternoon this week when i get home from work, or on the weekend.

Just take the top off the strut tower and undo the two nuts on top of the shock. Line up a bracket and make two slits with a Stanley knife (you might have to pull some of the foam blocks out of the way). When you put the bracket in you may have to lever it in a bit and when you've done both sides and put the bar in tighten the 4 nuts on top of the shocks and maybe put some of the foam blocks back (I'm sure you don't really need instructions - its rather obvious what has to be done once you start).
