Hi Guys,

The installation of my CarPuter has begun. I have begun mounting the monitor in the cubby.

After popping the hood, i found two grommets which i "think" go through the firewall.

One in front of the drivers seat, top left (if your in front of the hood) - which looks a little tricky.

The other, right hand side, top corner which looks like it would feed somewhere around the glove box?

Does anyone know what the easiest way to get a positive wire inside is? - Does the right grommet pop off?

I'd prefer not to drill....

Appreciate the help =)

Speak soon!

remove EVERYTHING around the passnegner grommet and untape it. getting a 4awg cable through it neatly is a bitch but can be done.

that ENTIRE corner has to come out/apart and most of the stuff arcoss the top as well.

stagea is the same and I've done that one in a similar fashion.

    • So just calibrate whatever voltage the closed position and full throttle position is and check linearity ? Sounds good to me
    • go look at the live data, and slowly open and close the throttle, if it is moving in a linear fashion, just do a re-calibration. OR if you really want to, adjust the TPS position so it's under 1V (no need to be bang on a 0,45V, it's not a stock ECU), then recal. Job done, rip skids, post it here.
    • Looks better than dusted paint, and also looks better than the old OEM one, much happy
    • Thanks for that mate always a good help
    • It's not really a calibration issue, if the voltage is really at 2V. If the voltage is 2V, then that's what the TPS is putting out, and the Haltech is seeing that and 2V is about 40% open (you know, between 0.45v being closed and something close to 4.5V being fully open). So, that would suggest that the TPS is maladjusted, on crooked, something something something. Or a wire problem.
