What an AWESOME day!!!!!

Thanks heaps to Ando, Chubbs and Clapa for helping me out on my first track day!!!! Can't wait for the next one...Looking to get some good semi's this time and maybe get rid of that stock suspension (if money permits)...oh no...actually got to replace those rotors!!!! BUT hang on ...first of all, I better spend some money on a detailer to get rid of all that dust and grass that's floating around in my car :D

LOL didn't that dusbuster work george!?? Ha ha

Was good meeting you mate! And after having jb in yr car your times dropped!! Well done!

LOL ..I got ripped off with that dustbuster!!!!! Yeah Bozman was awesome, he gave me some handy tips....I'll definately go faster next time because I'll put the bad thoughts out of my mind (i.e. thinking I'm going to write off my car and maybe hurting myself) and give it that 20-30% more... can't wait for the next track day

You guys sound like you had a ball!! :)

Spewn I wasnt out there :)

So did you all learn new things??

Great Times guys! Keep up the good work :)

amen to that mate! now that you have experienced the rush of being on a track, those first time jitters will be gone for good and you can have confidence in your ability!

Just remember to drive within your capabilities and dont push or be pushed too hard... thats when things go ugly :)

I've been talking to Chubs and I'm seriously considering entering the June 12th Oran Park GP day...A little nervous though since I only just started getting the hang of the South Circuit and now I got some more track to learn . AND, I'm also seriously considering getting an EVO dedicated track car, but then i'd have to get rid of my daily EVO....

You should do it mate!! Seriously for $100 + membership this is by far the cheapest ever chance to run on OP GP!!!! To be honest OP South has the trickiest parts IMO. apart from the kink at the end of the straight, the rest is pretty straight forward!

LOL you cant sell the EVO already!!!! Just do some mods to your current one and you will be hooting around very quickly!!!

When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
