i brought a rb25 box conversion from a mate that he had in his laurel.

he assured me their different between turbo and non turbo model's.

im not sure tho.

its because the small centereing circle inside the four bolt holes on the front rb25 conversion half of the tail shaft is far to small to accept the back half of my tail shaft. :S

doin my head in.

any one know rough prices to get a yoke changed?

<-- rear front --->

r33 tail shaft [---][---=

legend:

] =bolt flange

--- = length/pipe etc

= = spline

the bolt flange that is in bold in the diagram needs to b unbolted( theres one size 26/27 bolt ) and you bolt in your cefiro version of where that bolt flange is located.note shaft needs to be firmly bench vised if you want to undo the bolt.

theres a thread in the cefiro section just search rb25, i thought u had to get a custom made tail shaft as the r33 1 was too long/short, cant remember just check the thread. the above info is for a manual ceffy rb20 tail shaft

  • 1 month later...

I have a manual & Auto cef tail shaft. Also have a R33 manual tail shaft.

let me know what u want.

Fact: RB25 boxes have a much large yolk (whatever the tailshaft bit that goes in the box is.) so u cant use a 20 tail shaft. u also cant use the front half of the R33 tailshaft cos there center bearing is in a different position.

What i did was measured it up and got a custom single piece tailshaft made up.

hope that helps.
