Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

Recommended Posts

Ro and I were having a bit of fun coming down mt lindesay hwy saw the cops ahead of us. Slowed down as we drove past someone in a Toyata Yaris or something similar hit the guard rail. Car was a f**king mess.

So after we get out of range of the cops we have a bit more fun. Slow down coming through the road works at Parkridge doing about 80km/h in the 60 zone and theres a car coming in the opposite direction. Start thinking about slowing down. Car goes past us and all I saw was the POLICE written on the side. FARK!!! Slow right down to 55km/h lol and look in the rear view mirror. Cops are doing a u turn. So they catch up to me while I'm doing 60km/h and after about 2 mins following me the lights go on. So I pull over thinking I'm f**ked in the ass. They take forever giving me an RBT n checking the plates n my licence and all that good stuff. Cop started asking me questions then convo went like

Cop: So where are you coming back from?

Me: eeerrr...Milton?

Cop: Milton! What were you doing there?

Me: Getting ice cream?

Cop: Ice cream?

Me: Yep ice cream.

Cop: You went all the way to Milton for ice cream?

Me: Its good ice cream.

Cop: What else have you been doing?

Me: Car wash...

Cop: Were you with that other guy?(Ro)

Me: Yep.

Cop: Okay you can go.

Me: Sweet.

And that was why the drive home was interesting.

hehe interesting convo....I was like mutha fark.!! cop shit carnt...!!! fkn...goneskies.

Two dolla officer!! That is all!! Only two dolla.

HOONZ!

:D

So I did the right thing and moved over for an Ambo in peak hour traffic.. And guess what, GUTTER RASH.

Guess who is sending a fat, yes rather large quote to the ambos :D

lol are you serious?

They pay me or I sue them

Dad got $10k from main roads for new front struts on the Porsche as they failed in there duty of care to look after the road, which created the damage.

Got like $2k to repaint the front bumper on the Porsche from the fire department as well, as he had to pull over onto the side of the road, which was dirt, which lead to stone chips.

send the bill to the family who probably lost a loved one while that ambulance tried to get there. give me a break, cmon josh your better then that.

i like it. can I sue brisbane city council for my gutter rash? incorrectly maintained curb caused it. I'm sure I could sue them but legal costs > cost of wheel repair. Wasted effort.

how about the camber wear on my rear left tyre

can i sue the city for not making all the roads with a slight incline on the left so my tyre would sit just right...

+1. Seriously dude, they didnt MAKE you hit the gutter.

Wynum rd, peak hour. Two, thick lanes out-bound.

Yes they did, you cannot pull off anywhere.

They are getting the bill to repair the rim.

I moved as its the right thing to do. They have insurance for this very reason. I will be claiming the damage.

My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
