Electrics seem to be ok for now.

The gabnr told me that my brake lights look JDM spec - I can live with that

Everything else is working fine too. No more gremlins yet :)

lol at seeing servo holdup on the news

You should go brick those fkn sparkies that rorted you big time man. Oh and off the top of their head, any one know if whiteline 33 gtr sway bars are at all able to be fit onto a gtst? Rear part numbers are almost the exact same...

great news mang :)

i think ive read somewhere that they do - but dont take my word on it

brandon would probs know

pahaha, if brandon knew how cheap these were he'd beat me to the punch.

John, that r34 spoiler on the 32 looks pron!! You're right tho, dont think it'd suit a boat though. Might ask a mate to photo shop it for shits and giggles

Unless he hears "sway bar" and thinks "spoiler" like his other two mixups this week lol. I think Brandon is getting drunk on that bubble tea :)

now you can see why I'm going to put one on mine :)

I think your car is just going to be too round for it. Would be interesting to see though. If you get it photoshopped I'd like to have a look at the result

Yeah agreed. Will let you know what it looks like once I get a mock up done.

im sure brandon doesnt need them as he has a gtr

Adjustable whitline front and rear sway bars are definitly an upgrade over stock items. He has an n1 though so the fkr doesn't need anything, except lowering (unfair call?)

spot on

if you are looking to upgrade your sway bars - let me say that i sat shot gun 5 laps at qr in a 33 drifting with sways (kev's beast :) ) and then 5 laps in a 33 drifting without sways - and the difference was amazing

was a real eye opener for me

i dont know if drifting is your thing or not - but the handling was like 849234x more lolz

LOL 849234x more aye. Looks like I'm sold. Just need to check with an elite one to see if they'll fit....fkn gtr owners

yeeeh someone here will be able to give you a yay or nay tomorrow :)

Schweet. Hows ur 180 going?

lol as good as it can,

im awaiting a new sr - so its just sitting in my garage

then that gets fitted, then turbo gets refitted, some other thingys and a tune :)

wtf your motor blew?? The last cruise I went on I think you were waiting on funds to clear....motor lasted 2 months??

motor lasted less than 1500km in 2months running 8psi of boost with no track time

go figure

Feck bro you have my sympathy....and fists if they're required to put the hurt on, lol. Was it a private sale? If it was sold under a business, statutory warranty applies but I think thats only for 30-40days

wtf your motor blew?? The last cruise I went on I think you were waiting on funds to clear....motor lasted 2 months??

plus side is now i have funds so im sweet to drop some cash like a player and leave it with the guys to fix everything and get her running perfect :)

then skiiiiiiidz

    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
