Goodeth lucketh ?
Day off!!!!

Good luck John

Thanks guys!

He said "you seem like a nice young man" which means I can still lie effectively :banana:

Other than that he seemed pretty keen because I live so close, and have my open manual licence. He has a couple of other guys to interview this week, but I got a good vibe :D

Sounds excellent, Good luck!

So what are you doing for the rest of the day ?

+1. Did you manage to get a day off of from hell training for the interview?

Nope, no day off. Just got here at 10 instead of 9

Oh. Apparently the meaning of "learn" has changed. I was asked "what have you learnt so far today?" and I replied "nothing new" yet still had to provide an example of something that I've learnt... Usually when you learn something you are aquiring NEW knowledge. Not just rehashing... but whatever... this is the same person who pronouces "operator" as "operations" :(

Typical... the point in time when I get to use the intertrons and all you bastards are off at lunch or something :(

Hahah

Im here . . . having lunch at my desk . . . again

    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
    • This IS something you also have to configure in Haltech (or at least I did in the past when going from onboard-to-ECU map sensor and an external MAP sensor in haltech land).
    • I'm hoping it's something as simple as the ECU is looking for an external MAP sensor, but he is trying to use the onboard MAP sensor.
