This sounds interesting and I demand more information/story!

Not sure on the full story how the crash happend, but for the damage the car has come off very good

thats how it turned up this morning, doesnt show how bad the damage is, both rails are bent towards the passenger side, the gearbox end is 36mm pushed back then its ment to be, the suspension K - frame has flexed enough to crack the welds on the passenger side, the whole front gaurds/bumper/reo/headlights/radiator/condensor/thermofan's are toast, and it needs a new engine loom harness ($2250)

took me 8 hours of work to get it from that stage to engine on a mounting frame and the quote sheets done up.

Today = epic fail. Checked pickup in the sump this morning all fine. Put a new sump gasket on anyway. Took the clutch off of the old motor and its pretty much down to the fasteners which sucks. Also the new motor is from an auto 31 so need the spigot bearing so the box will go on. Tried to get a clutch today but the only place that had one was Bursons in Slacks Creek and they shut at 12. So I missed out.

Sold my old school volks though so that pays for the motor and clutch.

Plan of attack now is get the clutch and everything for Thursday then chuck the motor in Thursday and then finish bolting everything up on Saturday after work. I am disappoint.

thats a shame dude

I tried to get on to you to come help but you ignored me

you'll need to get the auto spigot out, that will be heaps fun. Check it out: http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?t...bearing_removal

I recommend the dynabolt (with weight) method. M20 dynabolt for an auto i think.

No cruise for you on saturday then? Unless you and dan take dans car...

You probably should buy a button clutch or somethign since its going to be a drifter. Hit up kudos during the week, he can prolly get you a spigot bush as well

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
