Have you been...

we went right past there for a school excursion, we were there to look at wave cut platforms for earth science, but no one looked at the wave cut platform.

anything I saw there looked like it needed ironing real bad. :)

Yeah! Hence the lulz

Scout this one out lads: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Why-t331988.html

Noel has called for a co-ordinated assault on this thread, who's with us?

Damnit, too slow, thread locked :)

Anyone know any good tyre puncture repair places that don't charge as much as a new tyre would cost?

everywhere? the most i have ever paid is about $20

is it because of too much stretch?

Direct quotes:

Jax "225 on a nine and a half? you're joking? we can't do that!"

Bob Jane "That tyre size is completely wrong. It's illegal. I won't do it. I don't even want it near my workshop!"

Goodyear "...our machine is too old for that"

K-mart Tyre/Auto "how did they even get that on there in the first place?"

LOLZ.

Thats why I took the terrorist with me to quickfit when trying to get my 215s swapped from 7s onto 8s and 9s.

Quickfit dude: "Sup Dan. What you need?"

Terrorist: "Can you swap these tyres onto these rims for me?"

*Quickfit dude looks*

Quickfit dude: "Sure, I'll put them on the 8s. No worries."

Terrorist: "And the 9s as well" :)

Quickfit dude: "Nope. No way."

Terrorist: "Yep." *evil grin*

Quickfit dude: "You're sure?"

Terrorist: "Yep." *evil grin*

Quickfit dude: "Really? Do I have to?"

Terrorist: "Yep." *evil grin*

Quickfit dude: "Oh alright. Go get me a carton of corona."

Terrorist: "Deal."

anyway - off to Archerfield. Back later mangs!

Have fun.

Amen. 32 has 265s all round, once the lips were done I've had no problem with scrubbing :) The 31 has stretch though.

I suspect it's because the wheels don't fit in the guards lol. That and John never listens. Ever.

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
