Speaking of moving. Who feels like helping Me and Alyssa move within the same complex some time in the next few weeks?

Let me know closer and I'll see what's going on but I should be able to help you out.

Were you driving in a bit of a hurry this afternoon bear Hamilton rd?

Yeah pretty quiet. But it's normally quiet on the weekends and Monday while everyone catches up on shit they should of done on Friday.

Oh and Morning All.

I got paid today aswell. All my bills come in tomorrow. So I have a day were I feel like I can survive the month and then back to 2 minute noodles. Pay review some time in the next 4 weeks though fingers crossed.

had to get up at 4:30 to drop my dad off the airport, in the lethal blindspotted corolla. (didn't have enough fuel in the skyline), in the dark, in the rain and half blind (going off orthok contacts and back to regular glasses). But i survived..

Of course, now it feels like lunchtime even though its only 8am.

Morning Mangs

If I'm free whenever you're doing it, I shall help.

However I can make no guarantees, doing ~60hrs a week at the moment trying to meet rediculous project deadlines, and I also need to fix my car once all my parts arrive.

A bit quiet here these past few days.

See above. Too busy to waste much time on here :(. Sad Panda.

I get paid tomorrow :)

BnR Thursday night?

Either BnR or Blaster-Happy-Happy-Fun-Times. Or more likely Blaster-Happy-Happy-Fun-Times followed by BnR. See Scott for more info.

Yay for pay then not so yay for 2 minute noodles....

Morning.

Not much planned for today, looking forward to getting my suspension sorted tomorrow.

I'll be pulling off a towbar from a Stagea this morning, then heading in to see a customer in Indro.

Most likely Star-wars-shoot'em'ups-laser-force-hunter-styles then BNR.

/\ This.

Will be at Laser Force Woolongabba. Ipswitch Road. Near Jaycar, opposite Toyota. I'm making a booking today for 10 people. Wont matter too much if we do/don't get numbers.

Said in that thread that someone saw it parked near a centrelink. What kind of derro steals a frigging car and then goes down to centerlink? (what was he reporting it as a new asset?

I'd carried around the card for that for the last 3 years after going once. Took it out of my wallet 6 months ago and of course i can't find it now!. Sounds good, i'll make an effort to get my arse there.

I know several of the coppers near my pub fairly well and they told me about a guy who grabbed a cab from Forest lake, got it to take him to the Inala police station where upon he went inside for a few minutes, came out and continued on to Darra where he promptly did a runner on the fare. So the cabby goes back to the cop shop in Inala to report the fare evasion and it turns out the moron had gone to the station to check in as he was on parole... I mean how dumb can you get, commit an offense only a few minutes after checking in for parole when the cabbie KNOWS you were just at the cop shop for some reason!

Moral of the story, never underestimate how dumb some people are.

Sarp mangs. Busy day was very busy. Ride home in the rain was not so fun :S Ahwell I'll get used to it lol. Keen for Return of the Jedi on Thursday :D

I has a noob question. The other day when we were at archy watching the drifts, I noticed that some of the cars seemed to spin the wheels extremely well without needing to put any effort into it, for example he drove forward a metre but the wheel was spinning in the one spot while he creeping forward. Is there a special diff that does this?

Hard suspension, lots of negative camber, Mechanical diff and ages old rock hard second hand rubber is the formula for doing a fully sick skid bro

Cool. I had never seen anything like it before, haha.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
