What happened to two bob?

See Bozmeister's poast.

Great success last night. Assignment finished by 3am.

Good Job, Team!

Count the first: On or about the 9th of June, 2011, one twocents, while driving a car owned by his girlfriend, five-quid, and with overly exciteable passanger the mighty douche on board, was struck in the front right quarter panel and drivers side door by a silver Honda CR-V who decided to reverse straight put into them. Details were swapped, quarter panel was bent to allow door to open and the mighty douche continued to dance around in excitement over his purchase of an auto loading pipe.

A thoroughly sensastional description of events, old chap. I do suggest you sign that account and submit it to the authorities as your affidavit.

Count the second: After a development time longer than the time between "we will have a man on the moon by the end of the decade" and "That's one small step for man..." Duke Nukem Forever is finally coming out. Nerds everywhere have had a collective orgasim.

Seriously, Duke forever has taken longer to release than the foundation of the Apollo missions to success with Apollo 11. The Beatles formed, recorded all their albums and broke up in less time than this game has been in development. While this game has been in development multiple wars have broken out and a few have ended. Britney Spears' entire career fits inside the development window of this game. It took them less time to build the channel tunnel than this game. It better be one genre defining game is all I can say...

As long as it's half decent and hilarious, i'll be happy with a good ol' dose of duke nostalgia :)

One of the scenes in the demo has Duke getting 'serviced' by two twins/sisters while playing the game. When finished, one of the girls asks "What about the game Duke? Was it any good?" and his reply is "Yeah, but after 12 fucking years it should be!". Farkin lol.

There's also a scene that icludes the "Profit" joke :)

I shall be purchasing said game this evening.

You will all remember such lines as:

"Blow it out your ass."

"It's down to you and me, you one-eyed freak!"

"Your face, your ass, what's the difference?"

"You guys suck."

"Suck it down."

"Those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride."

"It's time to abort your whole friggin' species."

And my personal favourite:

"You're an inspiration for birth control"

So it was only the sheila's ride and not the mighty N/A that copped. :whistling:

Pffft... TRD laser is just as cool as a non turz bro boat :P

I shall be purchasing said game this evening.

Morning Mangs,

TFIF.

Ikes Cream meet was good, Andy is a skirt - it only got down to 11 degrees.

Drama towards the end as 2-bob, 5-quid, and douche got reversed into in the carpark as they were leaving. :(. Hope insurance doesn't give you any trouble, let us know if you need witnesses.

Final thought: Hail to the King, baby!

Apparent temperature 6.8 degrees taking in wind chill ect

It looks farking rubbish from the previews I have seen

Yeah but so was Doom 3 by today's comparisons but I still played that for 72 hours straight some times.

For me, it's more about entertainment value rather than which game has the best graphics and/or screenplays. I think 90% of it will be a 'nostalgia' type entertainment where I'll remember how much fun I had playing it 10 years ago. $100 (or less) for a few weeks of that is worth it IMO

+1. More like 15 years ago though I think :)

~$72 on steam last night ;)

LOL, your work filters the words 'ass' and 'bast*rds'??

Yer its a farkin' sl*t.

It's a lot more sensitive on uploads (ie posting to forum) than it is on downloads (ie reading forum).

It doesn't like you uploading anything 'offensive'.

I got away with an 'ass' before so that's obviously OK, I know it doesn't like 'a*se'. Not sure on 'bast*rds', I didn't really analyse what words were in your quotes, I just assumed it would find something in there offensive :P

If i wanted to remember how much fun I had 10 years ago I would just play the old one (which happens to be one of my favorites of all time. Who knows though I might be surprised and really enjoy it!

Don't forget that Douche bought a hash pipe from a crackhead in a shirt....

and the mighty douche continued to dance around in excitement over his purchase of an auto loading pipe.

Haters gonna hate...

I'll need a new Pc before i can play it on my rig. Looks fun though

Well i dont know where you get your stuff but UMART is usually a good place to start, just read the comments & its easy enough to work out what goes with what and if its worth the cash.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
