Hey mate, depending on what type of work u need done. i can think of many btw all of the below are industrial fab shops but all are Beer drinkers u will find

BCA - (Brads a top bloke) can do TIG welding, but no in house machining

Heller Sable - great machinist's can do fab work as well (chris & Bassie are great too although probly not interested in 1 off's)

PT metal works/ PT powder coaters - no personal experiece with the fab side but very very competitive for sand blasting and powder coating

J&L engineering - machine shop only fantastic for 1 off items that need that personal touch (george is the nicest man you will ever meet)

Proserve /stainless solutions - specialise in any thing out of stainless

ACORN - good for any thing out of sheet metal

theres alot more around Malaga but there the 1's have had good experiences with.

regards

Chris

anyone know names of metal fabricators round malaga way???

reason i ask is i work in malaga and its handy for me to get work done around that area

thanks

mate! awesome work! cheers for all that

quick question, would proserve be capable or would they fabricate up a stainless steel split/dump/front/screamer pipe (full length one piece) if i gave them my stainless split/dump/front with plumb back screamer for them to make an exactly copy just make it external screamer????

if not, who else would u think would do that???

thanks again mate

hey they would be more then capable of doing it, actually it would be quite interesting to see how much they would charge to do it (they are not cheap, but do beutiful work). PM me the price out of curiosity if you do head over there. I would imagion since you already have 1 that u want copied to copy it in Mild steel. from my experience with industrial fabricating mild steel is always a min of half the price in materials and 2/3 the price in labour and processing. That and if Mild steel cracks any 1 can grab a mig or arc and weld it up. Where stainless is a pain in the ass, but it serves its purposes well. Saying this if it was for a dump pipe you might find that BCA is more worth while as 1 of the blokes there has R33 that you might be able to get him to do it so he has 1.

I also doubt copying it would be cheaper then buying a complete new off the shelf part.

remember icy cold beer makes friends lol

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
