1st question.....ok so my car drives normally then all of a sudden the car automatically revs the shit out of the car and hits 8rpm and doesn't stop so i pull over and turn the engine off and start again sometimes it starts normally other times revs to 5-6 by itself? wtf i blew my turbo last week and had plastic shit/little black pieces in the afm so cleaned it all out with air compressor and looked fine could my afm shit it self? this only happened after i blew the turbo. (and the afm was located on the intercooler piping now have changed it back to stock with a pod)...help please

running fuel pump, fmic, pod, r32 turbo with hks actuator at 12 psi, full 3inch exhaust

2nd question......i had a remap computer mods were fuel pump, fmic, boost tee 13, pod, r33 turbo, full 3inch exhaust,

now since i blew my r33 turbo and i put my r32 turbo back on can i still run the remap computer?

i know its better to get a tune but dr drift was booked out and other places.

and winton is this Sunday so need answers asap

3rd Question......i have a z32 afm can i unstall it with the remap computer and not have any problems (as in no need for a tune?)

cheers guys

As the throttle is cable driven, one might assume it relates to that somehow, as with the throttle closed the engine wouldnt be able to rev to 8k. I'd check to see if the butterfly is sticking open or that the linkages are not tight.

You can run the remap computer, but it might not run right, and might not be good for the engine. Best get it retuned.

I doubt you can remove the z32 afm without a retune, it might run as per question 2, but it might be bad for the engine or not work at all

you can run the car with the stock turbo and the remap suited for the r33 turbo but it will run rich. apart from that it will be fine.

you can not remove the z32 and put the stock one back on. it would start but be un drivable ;)

Did I do the remap for you?

cheers!

ok ill check those and with the z32 i have not instilled it on my car yet i want to put the z32 in now so will the car run fine with a remap and z32 not tuned???

    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
