yeah the bigt test for crows is coming, next four weeks: Fremantle, St Kilda, Port, Geelong.

getting to the pointy end now!

Freo shoulder be penned in as a win (even though they gave Carlton a hard time) and maybe even Port, but the other 2 are definitely gonna be tough.

Geelong IMHO needed to lose today and possibly did themselves a favour, on the other hand, I reckon Saints will go into finals less prepared than the Cats next time.

I picked the Saints today but if they face off in the finals again, I'll pick the Cats next time.

Unfortunatly i agree with you...We almost need a loss to give us some fight and anger again, though yesterday there was quite a bit there.

Twas a great game though and alot could be taken out of it from both clubs

Agreed, the old stigma of coming into finals undefeated "you gotta lose sometime!". Geelong will probably spend the whole week reviewing and improving on where they went wrong, and will probably be better prepared for the next time they play the saints.

Port and Crows will be a cracker IMO, Port have an outstanding home run this year, and Crows who are on quite a streak! Be a good game to watch, whos home game is it?

Freo can have an automatic win against Adelaide as long as they get rid of that f**king yellow strip, its f**king horrid.

The next Showdown will be a Crows' home game.

Carlton wore a yellow guernsey against Freo yesterday in support of cancer research by the Cancer Foundation. Is that the top you are referring to? Is was pretty awful but it was for a good cause (all the players signed their tops and they were/will be sold as a fund raiser.

And as a Crows' supporter we never give away an automatic win. Adelaide has never won less than 8 games in a season. It is the equivalent of Liverpool or Man United but on a much smaller scale and within the confines of the AFL (salary cap, drafts etc to equalise the clubs). It is an AFL superclub.

LOL at the AFL tribunal!!!!!!!!

Barry Hall: Intentional punch to the Truck's face (with a shocking record of offences) = 2 weeks suspension. :D

Jarrad Brennan: Headbutts Carr (Carr's head split open and had to leave the field) = 1 week suspension. :(

Troy Chaplin: Eyes on the ball, leaping to spoil, clash of players (other player got straight up and continued with the game unhurt) = 2 weeks suspension.:):)

Should've, would've, could've been:

Barry HAll: 6 weeks

Jarrad Brennan: 6 - 8 weeks

Troy Chaplin: Pat on the back by the coach for courage.

If that umpire is at the next Showdown, I'll jump the fence, LOL.

yeah, good onya Baz (considering Swans & Port are the last 2 teams to challenge for a spot in September) nice way to leave your teams mates in the lurch..........no self control, constantly letting his team mates down by sitting in the stands for most of the season.......dude must be Bi-Polar!!

Me thinks the coach & board gave him a little bit of a push just so they can have a settled side for the second 1/2 of the minor round........imagine if he pulled this shizz in Sept??!!

Jarrad Brennan: Headbutts Carr (Carr's head split open and had to leave the field) = 1 week suspension. :wacko:Was given 3 weeks, 1 week reduced for guilty plea, 1 week further reduced for good record for last 5 years. Still should be out for 3 weeks.

Troy Chaplin: Eyes on the ball, leaping to spoil, clash of players (other player got straight up and continued with the game unhurt) = 2 weeks suspension. :(:D:)Rich played very little in the 4th quarter and had minimal impact. Was clear effected by the collision. TV didn't show at what point Chaplin left the ground and he was never going to make the contest. Too bad. He was playing pretty well too.

If that umpire is at the next Showdown, I'll jump the fence, LOL. I have quoted you on this. I expect a member of the SAUSA board to be true to their word!

Must say i've watched a few port games this year (not a supporter mind you) and that was probably THE worst i've ever seen them play! Melbourne have a pretty decent lineup (been saying that all year as well with many a sAfrican American and laugh) that is very young and still making silly decisions but will be very good in the next few years.

Crows showed how to play the bottom of the ladder team and deservedly so thrashed them.

Hawthorn had no right to win that game either they were shocking and we knocked the eagles off in perth...Not getting to carried away now just waiting till sept when it all starts again and the home and away rounds mean nothing.

So is the top 8 pretty well set now?

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
