just cars are the only insurer that would look at me really.

i was a real dumb flamin mongrel on my p's. but since i got my licence back in november i havent been pulled over yet and have been waved thru a few booze buses as well so i guess im doing something right lol.

How do you get it that cheap. I've never lost my licence, I got my full licence, my record is like 100% n I have like 50-60% no claim bonus and they still charge me like $ 2000 for my R34

Depends on the area you live in. You're talking to someone in the industry that has full no claim discount plus staff discounting :(

As above I can answer General Questions.

Simon U lucky lucky man :laughing-smiley-014:

There is one more thing i would like to know.. Suppose i buy the car and in december i go back to my home country for 2 months and the car is parked in Uni here without anyone starting it... Will i have problems with the car when i come back and start it after 2 months??

I have a fairly standard R34 GT-T.

Paying $1186 with just cars full comp. I have adjusted my excess so if i need to make a claim, i'm looking at big money ($3800). Pretty happy with the price

Most likely because if you leave it at uni parking for 2 months there's a good chance it will get stolen within the first week. To be honest, it really doesn't sound to me like you're ready to own a skyline, no offence.

What excess you choose is a big decider on premiums too :D

Zavier - If you are going away for 2 months I recommend you put it in a storage shed for the 2 months... they are like what 10-25 bucks a week...

Just kepp it with me n I'll look after it, I'll make sure it's been raced at least once a week so the battery wont die :) lol

Wow, suddenly my insurance seems awfully cheap compared to what some of you guys are paying! I'm 25, near perfect driving record and I pay 580 a year i think it is for my 34 gtt with basic mods. Thats with upping the excess to 1200 bucks from 400 i think it was. With the minimum excess my premium would have been around 950.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
