Who To Use To Pickup My Spare Rb25 From A Workshop And Deliver To My House?

Recommended Posts

Well my spare RB25 long motor has been sitting in a friends dads workshop for quite sometime and the time has come to move it to my house, if I don't he will send it to SIMS and there is no way my perfectly good RB25DET is going there!

So basically I am wondering what the best way of moving the engine is I live about 5-6kms from the workshop and the other problem is my 40 degree driveway down to my garage at the other end. Also does anyone know how much a RB25 long motor weighs?

If anyone has used a company they could recommend or have the means to do this themselves please reply here, pm me or sms 0404998591 with details and approx cost not wanting to spend an arm and leg just to relocate the motor. Also if anyone is looking for a RB25 I am willing to sell it at this stage as my motor is still perfectly healthy and it could be picked up from the workshop direct in this case otherwise I will hold onto it.

Thanks in advance for all replies

have a mate with a ute? van?

put it on a pallet and hire out a trailer or something? just make sure the block is tied well to the pallet.

there's probably 101 ways of doing this haha.. its not like you're trying to transport a house.

Thanks for the replies and thanks again Lee (pm sent) for your offer of help. Due to my driveway I have organised a Ute with a hydraulic arm to collect and deliver but wont be a while we need to get to the end which is in the corner of the workshop atm blocked in.

If someone on here is looking for RB25 Long Motor just pm me I may let it go if its needed better than sitting around collecting dust :/

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
