Talking about cops not giving up (post by DAN666 about a cop trying to entrap him). Last night we decided we would leave BWCP and try and catch a few mates who were already on the highway. By the time we got to the end of smith street they were already at Yatala (they were at Movie World when we left BWCP), so with little chance of catching them we decided we would turn around and find something else to do down the coast.

This proved to be a good decision and we took a cop car on a 50km tour through the Gold Coast. Starting with a brief stint on the M1 after turning around at movie world, we proceeded down Brisbane Road, Labrador, then along the GC highway, back down smith street (where I might add he didn't indicate) where we proceeded to turn left into Bermuda Street and head along their. The whole time, while making dummy lane changes and a bit of playing, the cops followed every move, while video taping us the whole way. Belgarion tried to drop back but the slower James went in the left hand lane, the slower the cops went in the right hand lane so James couldn't see them (traffic hazard some may think?). James and I were continually sharing the spotlight of having our arses on film. (They better be careful, I might think about taking up modelling :bahaha: ) Anyway...

We had an S15, two R33's, a Z31, a VY SS ute (black.. not the cop) an S14 we picked up along the way and then a pulsar and a sprinter joined us. We decided we would pull into Shell Bermuda Street to refuel, refresh and replenish our stocks for what seemed to be a long night ahead of taking "tours" with these cops.

They then decided they didn't want to join us in the servo and proceeded back along Bermuda Street to go annoy someone else probably.

I believe all of us that were in this pack last night deserve a medal. We keep the traffic cops away from all our mates racing on the highway. Not intentionally, but if they insist on following us when we KNEW who they were and what they were doing, do you really think we are stupid enough to do something illegal?? **** heads.

****en wake up to yourself you idiots and go spend our hard earned tax dollars somewhere else and stop wasting time following innocent people who were just going out for a drive to waste some time.

BTW, the car was a Green SS VY Ute with the number plate 865 IEQ.

We had some fun when the car departed us. Round abouts are good mmkay?

That's my story. Anyone else had an experience like this??

looks like they need new cars and plastic surgery now, mabey they should get dicks attached to their heads....

comon guys wasnt it blatently bloody obvious we knew you were there???

um my cousin who is some qld prosocuting qc said they can only follow you for a maxuim of 5kms, after taht its haressment.

dont know if its true, but it would be hard to prove, like everything else the police do wrong.

"i got a badge, rules dont apply to me, and im the best driver because I did a course..."

I've been filmed by the cops with a commercial camera crew once. I was sitting in a carpark eating dinner and 2 cops came up and started asking questions. In the background was a cameraman and another person in civillian clothes. I asked what they were doing and was not given a reply. I rang the cop station the next day and complained for the record. Turned out it was one of those reality shows looking for bad types to film.

But yes, funny how they gave me 20 questions and I wasn't even given an answer to the one question I gave.

Dammit, i wish i didnt miss u guys leave the carpark. I was lookin around at other cars and getting some photos. I tried on the UHF but it was just out of range after you'se had left. Yeah that Green ute has caught a few 'hoons'. There is also a couple of magnas with SA plates on them, dont race them. Does anybody know if DVS 57 is a cop car? Its a black VT-VY SS. Saw it crooze past us on the m1 last nite, it looked a bit sus...

Erin, you drive a modified car on the gold coast on saturday nights. = hoon.

Don't you watch the news?

I wouldnt have picked a green SS ute as a D car, will have to be much more wary in future.

Lucky for james that I wasn't there, would have been another licence suspension for sure.

hahha i jsut paid m last fine.

i still got one more, but i havent got a notice to pay it again, and i argued lots so im thinking maybe the guy cancled it thinking i was goin to take it to court. not too sure.

paid my last one so im home free with 4 points. :()

wonder how long ill keep my licence for.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
