Little_32 Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) He guys, Im sue you have answerd this questiong over a dozzen times, but im a newbie. I have a fair idea as to what the problem is. But i just to know what you think. I have a 32 and in the rang of 3500-4500RPM it splaters, But only does it if i accelirate suddenly. Its fine when i gradualy accelirate. So im guessing its having toubles fireing... right?? and all i need to do is gap my plugs alittle samller (0.8..??) either or its my coil packs. What do you thing it could be?? could it be anything else?? Primordial Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 yerp.. answered your own question! even if you do gap your plugs down your coilpacks are on the way out. there are a number of methods to alleviate the problem in the short term.. they've been covered plenty of times.. Search "misfiring" in the forced induction forum. Before long you'll get the shits with it and buy a new set of coilpacks.. Splitfire are the usual choice. SECURITY Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 clean your coil packs with some steel wool first - as in after you pull out the rubber boot and the spring, the bit of metal that the spring sits in builds up full of crap. So once i get a chance ill service the car and gap the new plugs b4 i put them in....
